X simply means exclusive, for the logic gate XOR It just means the gate only has an output if either of the gates is on but not both. XNOR(XNAND) is the complement to XOR having an output when both inputs are the same. It is pronounced as X+OR and X+NOR.

@@aniimika Yeah, you're right. The Cross on top of the Holy Crown of Hungary (also commonly referred to as Saint Stephen's Crown) was bent in the 17th century and has been depicted that way ever since. Apparently nobody knows why they didn't "fix" it. 😄
