That’s right. As its origin is not precisely known, flamenco basically came to express pain and sorrow of both suppressed gypsies and moors in old Andalucía. However, there are also “happy” types of flamenco like rumbas and alegrías. A trace of sadness can be touched in them as well.

now THIS is the real deal flamenco - full of passion and emotional ups and downs. bravo. so amazed by this hardcore performance. so many north american "interpretations" of flemenco on youtube where they try to put on a show and look good with flashy hand movements, but these all fall short of the raw, energy filled performance in this video. i love it authentic and fiery - i wont have my flemenco any other way!!! 👌✌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

@@moedalgarny The Spanish word "Tabla" actually comes from the Latin word "Tabula". The Arabic word Tawila & Tabl also come from the Latin word "Tabula". The word simply means Table or a piece of wood like a floor or even a plank. The English & French word "Table" also come from the Latin word "Tabula". In all European languages Tabla,Tavle, Tavla etc etc again come from the Latin word "Tabula". The Romans were so powerful & influential that all European languages have words that come from Latin. Even Arabic has an endless amount of words that come from Latin like the word "Dinar" which comes from the Latin word "Denarius" etc etc. The Arabian peninsula was actually part of the Roman Empire & this might explain why so many Latin words are in Arabic

When I was a child my mother took me to Spain. The first time I saw the Spanish culture I was blown away! Still am. As an English man I have fallen in love with spain... Dios Mio, they are... perfect man! I'm in love with the Spanish, I really am.
Flamenco both in music and in dance is a pure gift to the menkind! Every time I experience it, tears of being deeply touched come into my eyes. So much pride, so much beauty and fire. I hope that tradition lasts forever!!!!!! ❤❤❤

During this one beautiful period of my life I studied dance. When learning about historic hindu female temple dancers who literally studied that art form their entire lives beginning from when they can first stand, I recall reading that those young ladies posture and hand positions can literally NOT be copied to be the same by non-hindu dancers for reasons unknown. This mystic, fantastic gypsy dancing woman had me thinking that perhaps maybe her stylings could never be copied by non-native dancers.
It's true that for somethings it's something that comes from almost a sacred source that is closely guarded. But there have been outsiders who truly felt a deep connection that actually resonated within that allowed them to tap into that same sacred source. If you are born into something you learn it like it was breathing. That "like you were breathing" feeling is impossible to replicate.
Thank you so much for uploading. I had a wonderful vacation in Spain back in 1988, that included a night in the caves in Granada, where the gypsies entertained us with their intoxicating dancing and music. I studied flamenco back in the 1980’s and this is the real thing. I love Spanish culture! Viva España!!!
I've been dancing flamenco since I was little (4yo), in highschool I quitted. Once You started never stop believe me flamenco always finds you. Next year I Will assist to an academy again thanks to a co-worker! I'm so exited! The arrogance the passion the fire. I can't describe with words what flamenco has been for me... Do not forget the Greeks had a kingdom in north-west India what called yavana kingdom! It was the remained Greeks from Makedonian empire with Alexander the Great. Then the Persians taked that region and by the mixed my people born. But also our heritage is the wandering life without nation! 🫡🙏 our kingdom is not on this land! ✝️

@@khaledalzoabi6962 Flamenco is from the Andalucia region in southern Spain. Asturias,Pais Vasco,Navarra,Catalunya, Galicia & Cantabria are in northern Spain & they do not do Flamenco song or dance. Flamenco is mostly popular in Andalucia
how strange!! i was actually at this place seeing the same performers back in August 2012. the woman that sat down, first from the right was pretty amazing that night.
My Mother danced Flamenco and I desperately wish she had been able to teach me. I still have everything she used dance wise and it's too precious to me to part with.
The lady was lovely and a great dancer. It looks like hard work to do it right, as she did. I don't understand a comment below that these Spanish gypsies are' hosted by caves' in the Granada hills? But this IS Spanish dancing - not Gypsy or Northern-Indian inspired dancing. It's a beautiful art. Thank you for posting this amazing video.

hey thanks for your comments... the dancers and the musicians are a group of gypsies, who are hosted by a series of caves in Sacromonte hill in Granada.. especially this one was a similar cave called as Cuevas los Tarantos...
