Flames @ Blackhawks Miracle Comeback: October 12, 2009 

I was at this game. After Calgary scored their 5th goal my cousin was like “we are LEAVING if they score one more” He was picking me up and hugging me in OT :)

This is one of the best games I have ever watched.

I was at this game with my dad back when my dad had season tickets at the time. Good thing we didn’t leave early because some games if the Blackhawks were losing by a lot we would leave early. This was awesome to witness.

As a Red Wings fan, I have to admit, that awesome what Chicago did that game. Not a lot of people could do that.

I was at this game, on the right side of the TV as we see it. So I had a birds eye view of 8 goals. It was such an awesome game.

ive become a blackhawk fan this year during the playoffs. i used to be a little shaky liking calgary and new jersey but the blackhawks inspired me and they are awesome

"The Miracle on Madison". This Flames fan remembers this night vividly. In hindsight it feels like an odd bit of foreshadowing to a season that saw us go from leading our division in November, to a complete collapse in January followed by a panicked blowup, to us missing the playoffs entirely for the next 5 seasons.

i think i have said it before but i love how nobody left the building during the rout of calgary in the first and the hawks comeback!

I remember when the Canadiens did a comeback agaisnt New Yor Rangers. They were down 5-0 in middle second period and won 6-5 in shootout. Captain Sak made the difference. Gotta miss him :/ By the way, LOVE HAWKS. They seem like a big family and I got to say that Byfuglien and Versteeg will be missed for sure.

I enjoy watching hockey though the particulars and specifics still elude me (penalties and such). I am a Chicago fan but I cannot claim to be a Blackhawks fan since I didn't follow the game closely, so I will not jump on the bandwagon. But when I heard about this game, something told me this was going to be thr Blackhawks year. It reminds me of the football game between Minnesota and Chicago in 1985, when the Vikings took the lead and then Jim McMahon led the Bears in a comeback to win it. When that happened, i knew the Bears were going to be something to remember in that year. For once, I was right above both teams. Nice job, men. You made Chicago proud with your stretch of dominance.

my best friend took me for my first blackhawks game for my birthday present, all I can say was I spilled half my beer in the row in front of me and they didnt even care. it was insane! I'll never forget that night... crazy....

it's just a regular season game but any real Hawks fans will tell you this is the moment we found out they were a special group.

this was the 09-10 home opener, i was in the 300's going hard! Been to at least 50 hawks games and this was by far the best one.

This is the kind of game you like to see. Calgary got a littel light headed and took the Black Hawks for granted. No lead is safe.

You know its funny. Even after going down by five, I kept watching just knowing we could still come back. Why, cause thats what the hawks are good at. 3 periods of hockey. Back in the day or any other team I woulda just shut it off. But here, something told me they would do it.

LA came back against the Oilers in a playoff game while down 5-0 thats when the Oilers had Gretzky and their dynasty team, St. Louis also came back from 5-0 down against the Leafs about 6-7 years ago

same thing last year with Montreal , they came back from 0-5 to win 6-5 in overtime !

@Adleri You're right, but when he gave up that first goal after leaving the crease, he just mentally broke down. It happens to goalies all the time after they give up an easy goal after making a dumb play. They dwell on it and lose their concentration.

If I was going "out of my way" I would find a Tim Thomas video and put it there, this comment was actually quite convenient and easy. the minnesota wilds comback on the hawks was way better they were down 5 to 1 going into the 3rd period and they came back and won in a shootout
