If you consider the Elefant as an AT17 it might give you an idea that the Tiger2 or JagdTiger who had the same gun may have an AT17

Great overview. But I'm wondering how much the 4+ cross check would impact the overall mobility a platoon of Easy Eights have. Does the Jumbo taking a hit make it worth possibly negating the advantage of 2+ cross and smooth ride? I guess it would really depend on how terrain dense your table is right.

Good point. There's of course still the "Cross here" check, but I wouldn't bet on making all 3+ rolls. Give me a 2+ cross any time of the day. But FA of 11 is very high for a medium tank, and combined with a 4+ To hit, you can rely less on terrain.

In V3 I would have a "tanky" platoon with Jumbo, E8s, etc, They would hang back and snip or flank and then I would add a more assault based platoon, M4s with Sandbags for closing and assaulting. Haven't tried it with this verions yet.

Oaky noob question here. Say there are 3 jumbos in a formation 1 HQ 1 in 2 platoons. If the regular M4s get destroyed doesn't that break the formation making the Jumbos irrelevant? Yes that counts on keeping the Jumbos from being legal targets is there a limit on how many hits you can swap? thinking in terms of Pzr IV company facing off with a M4 company.

Not really. The Jumbos are just an upgrade to the platoon. So even if you add Jumbos to your HQ and 2 platoons of Tanks you still only have 3 units for the purposes of moral. The Jumbos aren't' extra or separate. Taking it further, in the platoon, lets say you have 2 75mm Shermans, 1 E8 and 1 Jumbo. Those 4 teams make up the platoon and losses among any of them count towards platoon moral. Hope this helps.

The sad thing is I've never seen marders in a battle report. Shame pretty cool looking tank (Late war, isee mid war marders all the time)
