I haven’t owned a TCE reverb so I can’t honestly compare. Just a disclaimer. However, I’ve been using the FC02 ever since I got it. It offers a wide enough variety of sound options that I’m satisfied.
Would this be a good beginner pedal for the fender squier bullet strat hss? I just started playing again and was looking for something simple but effective
It depends on what you mean by "beginner pedal" I guess. If you're looking for something that's easy to dial in, I'd say that the FC02 is a great option. It didn't take me long to find settings that I liked. I also feel like it's worth mentioning that this pedal lends itself well to any guitar. I'm sure it would do well with your Squier.
@@medinsmakemusic I say beginner pedal as in I’ve never used a pedal before and I’m looking to use one. Im very impressed with the sounds this pedal creates 👍🏼
@@medinsmakemusic right now I have a fender frontman 10g, which is very low end, but I am just getting back into guitar and this is my first electric. I don’t know much about pedals, but I’m looking for something that I can use that will create smoother tones, and just something to experiment with as I practice.
If you’re open to input, I think you should check out the JHS channel. In addition to making great pedals, they show the functionality and provide the history behind theirs and other brands’ pedals. As for personal recommendations, it’s hard to go wrong with an Ibanez TS808 tube screamer for smooth overdriven tones. If you want a good DI option, I suggest the Flamma FS06 or the Mooer Brown Sound. I have demo videos for both on my channel, but there are plenty of other great demos I’ve seen from other youtubers as well.
