I am very happy with these tones. I'm on the hunt for a pedal to help me get some ambience. I was looking for the ekoverb... But I can buy the delay and the reverb pedals separately for a bit more... And have the presets. People recommend me the Atlantic a lot... But despite the sound quality being great, the pedal don't allow any tone control... And that shimmer is totally unusable, imo...
Short, Sweet and every verb heard, makes an excellent demo. Have you tried the Flamma Stereo Delay? Their EKOVERB is a killer pedal, especially for the price, but all of their digital delays and verbs are very good. Stereo ins and outs have become as much a selling point as tap tempo is for many players. Only reason I’d choose a TC Flashback or HoF, is the TonePrint feature, yet the presets aren’t better. Regardless, these Flamma pedals are such a killer deal for a quality effect that it’s not much risk to try them out.
I haven’t yet, but I need to grab one for sure... My main criticism would be the way to scroll through the presets... a 2nd footswitch for that purpose would be much more useable on the fly, & wouldn’t add too much to the cost. Other than that, it’s pretty amazing for the $
Thanks for the nice video, man. I'm on a tight budget and I've noticed that finding an affordable and decent reverb pedal is pretty tough. This might be it for me, ordered :)
Nice demo👍. The Flamma line is very impressive - and cost effective. They say they are musicians/engineers making quality gear for musicians without boutique prices. $68 for this is value indeed. I have Strymon and Neunaber verbs and delays, and honestly, these little guys FS02, FS22, FS03... sound great in their own way. I just hope there isn’t a tone suck or something. I just ordered an EkoVerb. Stunnng sounds, and I may be able to replace two pedals with one on a board. For under $100.
I definitely want to get the Ekoverb next... I haven’t noticed any tone suck with this at all. I won’t be getting rid of my Ghost Ridge or Slö in favor of this, but it absolutely has its place
thanks for the video, this is exactly what I needed to see. The shimmer verb (which is what you dig as well) is what I was looking for at a budget price. I am not going to spend $300 on a reverb pedal anytime soon. $80 bucks for a solid pedal and a power supply is tough to beat.
Absolutely! While I do have the Source Audio Ventris as my main reverb, I know most folks don’t need all those features… no reason to break the bank just to have some reverb
@@barefootbeardedwizardry Unfortunately. But the reverbs that are on there sound great. At that price point you barely get a single reverb pedal. I'm really thinking about getting one of those and stack it before or after my Oceans 11.
Bought one of these recently. Very nice pedal for not very much money. I also picked up the Flamma FC-03 (mini delay pedal), very cool little pedal. I am hoping Flamma quality holds up over time; bought an Ammoon American Sound pedal that died after one year, so I am a little paranoid. For now, I am a Flamma fan.
Yep, they’re definitely impressive pedals for what you pay… I’ve had some bad experiences with Mooer & Joyo (& some really great experiences) so I know exactly what you mean, but Flamma seem to be doing it right so far
Andy Goode Guitar thanks man.... yeah I don’t think anyone is gonna get rid of their Empress or Strymon stuff, but if someone wants a solid reverb that can do a lot this might just be the ticket
I think you definitely could... tends to be a lot of slap back delay in some of that stuff too though, you might look at their FS22 Ekoverb as you could then incorporate that slap back as well
I would say that depends on your needs. If you want one simple reverb & don’t care about stereo, then probably the Caline. If you want more options &/or the ability to save settings, then I’d go for the Flamma.
@@barefootbeardedwizardry I bought this for $65 new on amazon before flamma sold out. It's a really nice pedal for the price and it's my first stereo pedal. I connected it to two amps with some delay and chorus with a strat.. awesome. It's missing the shimmer effects I want but I don't feel like spending $150 on an oceans 11 and sweetwater is always sold out of good stuff.
Thanks! That’s a tough call… For one, Flamma are basically a repackage with tweaks of other Chinese pedals, so there’s a good chance the algos are essentially the same. BUT I’d choose Flamma because I want stereo, if you don’t need stereo, then the Joyo might be better for you since it also has the added delay feature. But, the Flamma also has “presets” so you can save the settings you prefer for each algo.
@@barefootbeardedwizardry Got it. So the sound of the reverbs in both pedals are pratically the same? I think I'm gonna buy the Flamma because of the presets. This is really helpful on playing on the stage.
@@samueltavares3020 totally agree, very helpful, & yeah I think there are differences, but they are very similar. They definitely seem to have the same base algos, but maybe with minor tweaks that would make them slightly different… to me, it’s essentially the same & comes down to the features that matter for what I do (like presets & stereo)
I love it with the high and low cut engaged all the way. It gives a very uncanny sound that has a lot of potential. This is a great value for the price.
Also: $75 and it doesn't come with a power. So the $75 pedal goes back. Im an X'er, I grew up when companies had accountability and sent you a pedal that worked out of the box. This useless brick went right the fuck back to China. If you have self respect and work hard for your money don't buy pedals that charge you out the ass and could give 2 shits if you can use it once you get it or not. Never again.
Virtually no one provides a power supply with their effects pedals anymore. You'll either have to accept that, or just be bitter about the realities of life. A good power supply is $10. Is that worth your level of hate?
@@lawrencegenereux8567 His stance seems irrational to me, but you'd be surprised how many Amazon reviewers give 1 star reviews JUST BECAUSE a pedal doesn't come with a power supply. SMH
@@barefootbeardedwizardry I just don't get it. I've been looking for a relatively simple pedal like this (and delay), only a few presets, small format, etc. I thought this was it. I'd pay the extra $20-40 if it were MIDI. The only option I've found that does all this is the SA Ventris which is nearly $300. Ugh...
@@jamesnichols5998 I hear ya… the new NUX tape echo (large version NDD-7) is stereo & has midi… I’m assuming they’ll be releasing a similar reverb in the not too distant future. Full transparency though, I have the Ventris on my board & it was so good I bought the Nemesis as well.
Nobody really uses pedal controls this way... I like the playing for demoing reverb but I don't feel it gives a good taste of what actual sounds you can dial into the pedal... Very odd to just leave everything at 1 or max out each knob.
These are the out of the box presets, which is why it says the knob position is irrelevant. If I turned knobs on every preset it would be a 2 hour demo.
Ahhh yes, it can be very subtle if you want... the knob positions are meaningless as I’m just playing through each algorithm as it’s preset right out of the box. I have another video where I turn knobs on one algorithm
