In this video, I give sound examples of all the default presets on the Flamma FS07 CAB pedal using the Zoom G1X Four. I also give a few sound examples using my Flamma Pedalboard.

This demo just made me a lot more satisfied with my Zoom G1x’s internal cab sims.

Not sure what's wrong with the settings here but the Flamma don't sound like it's hooked up properly. The Zooms sounded better in every one of these. All the Flamma IR's sounded muffled to me. Did you disconnect the cab sims on the Zoom when running the Flamma? I'm using mine with the Boss GP10 and it sounds fantastic. I am using other IR's besides the ones in the Flamma. The Flamma ones sounded good to but this demo just don't sound right to me.

Did I disconnect the cab sims on the Zoom when running the Flamma? Yes. Not sure what to tell you about this video other than, I disabled the Zoom cab when I used the Flamma. I don't think the Flamma IR's are bad but like you I tend to load my own IR's in and I'm much happier with the overall result. I've probably go back and re-check my work. If I find something was off in my process, I'll make an updated video. Thanks for the feedback.

@@Tone-Quest Yeah, I wasn't crazy about the stock cabs. I use some of the York Audio and the Ir's from the Boss GT 1000. Sounds fabulous.

thank you Chris! :) how about the 3rd party IRs? does the pedal has any limitations for the sample length, bitrate etc.?

I checked the manual again but I don't see any specification or limitations in regards to the IR listed and I haven't run into any issues, yet.

It has no problem with any rates on the IR's.

Thanks, I don’t see it being overly useful in an amp but yes, I think it is geared more for recording or if you wanted to go direct to a PA. I’ll probably use mine most for recording.

I don’t disagree but you can load different IR’s in the pedal, which is one of the reasons I find it intriguing. I also love that it is stereo.

@@Tone-Quest You set the high cut on 7kHz. That's killing too much high frequencies. Here's an advice: put the high cut on above 9KHz or 10KHz. It will sound better, for sure 😉

I bought this pedal for my HD500x, the stock ir's of this pedal is not good, but loading 3rd party IR really makes a difference.

Hello friend good, by chance, do you know if this pedal is to turn on automatically when you plug it in, if that is its natural process or is it harmful to the pedal, plug it in and unplug it since I do not see slot on or off.

I think out of the box it turn on automatically and the foot switch goes between each preset...but you can hold down the foot switch to enable an on/off mode for the foot switch. When in this mode the preset stay on the current preset and the foot switch then turns the pedal on or off.

If you can’t load third party IR’s in the POD HD Pro, then yes I would say it is worth it.

Hi, you do not need to power off and on the pedal to swich footswich mode. Just press the swich and hold, an you should change mode at any time.

Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the first comparisons using the Zoom G1X Four? If so, I’m showing what a default patch sound like using the built-in internal cab sims and then I disable the internal cab and use a cab in the Flamma FS07.

@@Tone-Quest I see. But, sometimes we can see for example, 2x12 cab in zoom and two cabs 1x12 in flamma. Of course, it should sound different.

@@alexxmaestro The purpose of the video is to give an example of each default preset on the Flamma FS07. By using default presets on the Flamma FS07, it is difficult to always find a perfect patch to match it, so the original patch is just a reference to show how it is different. Apologies for any confusion.

Wait a second... If you can load your own IR's then you can put reverb IR's and use it as reverb to some degree.

@@Tone-Quest it may be that there is a time limit not mentioned in the manual, there is with many of these IR loaders. Very Unfortunate.

I checked the manual but it doesn't really state the reason but since you can load third party IR's, I would assume the latency could be used to tweak the IR's in case they had different latencies.

Leon Todd refers to the latency can be adjusted for phase reasons, which is more along the lines I was thinking. As Taylor said in his video, that Dallas shared, if you adjust it so the IR are out of phase the tonal result would be thicker. It is definitely nice feature to add to the pedal.
