I've been looking for a way to make flashcards without having to pay extra for an app and this saves my life! I already have all of my notes on OneNote, so this is even better than another app. My degree might be running on this now, thank you!!
Nice tip! I wonder if there might be a quick way in OneNote to randomize the terms and to hide those terms that no longer need to be practiced . A list of terms could be exhaustive and one would typically want to focus on just those terms that give them trouble. Plus,if you don't shuffle the deck, you might just be remembering the order rather than the term. Anyway, thanks for the tip. As I was writing this it occured to me that Excel might also be a solution, creating a table with terms in one column and definitions in the other. Simply hide the definitions column while testing yourself. Alternatively place the definitions in a comment that you could hover over to check yourself. Add a column for number of times correct and another column for number of times you got the answer wrong. Then sort the incorrect column, and/or only show those terms you have missed. This might be confusing if you have never worked with excel tables, but I sure there are plenty of videos on that subject.
Hey David, you might want to check out NeuraCache (I'm an indiehacker behind it). See examples of what is possible here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JbM1j3Ad93E.html
so the tutorial worked so thanks for that but sometimes when I click on a different page and then go back to a previous page where I had the note hidden, it would no longer be hidden making the ability to test myself less reliable since I would have to look at the answer to even make it hidden again. any tips?
I've just added support for OneNote flashcards like this to NeuraCache. You can review cards like this in a convenient flow (shuffle, spaced repetition, image support, etc.). You can see examples here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JbM1j3Ad93E.html
There has GOT to be an easier tool to make simple flashcards for vocabulary -- JUST like you would make on a 3" x 5" card. Like I did in high school. I don't need to track learning. I don't need to rate cards as 'easy' 'hard' &etc. I have a boatload of words already within an excel spreadsheet. I just want to import them into a simple tool and memorize words. I want to 'FLASH' through them (THAT'S why they call them FLASH CARDS) just like in high school. I want large print and one button to switch from front to back and an arrow to move to the next word, with an arrow button to go to the back button. THAT"S IT!!! I DON'T want all the bullshit that comes with Anki or Brainscape or OneNote, &etc. Does ANYONE make such a simple f#cking tool?!!!!
