Thank you Rahdo for making these videos! Watching them makes me understand complicated games better. Before i didn't want to play games like caverna, le havre, or even games that just looked weird (to me) like splendor! I now really want to try these games because of you explanations! Thanks again! PS this is my favorite game in my growing collection of board games!

Thanks so much for these videos! With your awesome first-person runthroughs and great insight, you've supplanted The Dice Tower for my go-to boardgame reviews! I love Flash Point and just wanted to add that when you're seeding POI's, if they spawn on a fire, you can just follow the arrows on the board to see where they end up instead of rolling again. Thanks again for the vids and hope I win one of Jen's cool glass player tokens! :-)

I thought if you roll and a POI was on a fire spot, it simply followed the arrows to another spot until it was out of the fire, instead of rerolling.

I just checked the rules in my own copy of the game. When the fire spreads at the end of each turn, if you roll the dice and land on a spot NEXT to fire, it becomes fire, not smoke (check 16:50)! Thanks for the runthrough! I love this game!

I believe the word you were searching for was "Ambulance". Instead of Paramedic van, lol.

He missed one thing during setup, he should have set up 3 more hotspots as he is on the veteran level, so the difficulty is not veteran, but recruit + 1 extra hazmat. Also those hot spots do not count against the 6 on the board. So you start with 6 on the board and then 6 off the board.

it was already noted on the klingon subtitles... when watching a video from Rahdo always turn on the klingon subtitles to see when he goofs up

The setup is done wrong. You do not damage walls or remove doors during setup. Also POI's follow the arrows if there is already fire or smoke in the spot. There were some other small mistakes made during play that didn't really make a difference, but points to open doors ect were missed.

You don't appear to have added the additional hotspots outlined in part 11 of the experience game setup - I think you should have another 3 for playing in Veteran difficulty (I am unsure about the other bullet in that point, as you're only playing with 2, but I suspect it should be another 2 from that too).

You could save a lot of AP if Jen created a hole above 1/3, she's good at damaging the wall.. U could dispose those 2 hazmats possibly 3 times faster than spending those APs to bring 'em to the nearby door.. Great review & explanation anyway..

no... the closed doors have tokens on them... just look at the board... in the path that Richard does there's a closed door to the right between the table and the ?... there's another closed door next to the fire in that hallway... Doors that are printed on the board are opened... if they have a token on top they are closed

Super video. I do have a question though. In an explosion when the fire gets so far out that it reaches the sidewalk outside the building - what happens next? If there's another explosion that would extend the fire beyond the edge of the board, do you just ignore that side, is it an automatic loss of the game, or what? Also, if there is fire outside does that keep the vehicles from being able to move?

nope, explositions don't reach past the boundary of the house. just ignore it going in that direction :)
