One of the absolute coolest things was that this show was still airing on CW4Kids when the Spectacular Spider-Man premiered, and The Batman had its two-part finale. So for one brief shining moment, Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man had new episodes premiering right after each other.
This show really needs to be talked about more. I had no idea it existed until about 2 years ago, and it showed me a side of the Legion Of Superheroes that makes them pretty cool and fun characters. Superman, Brainiac 5, and Lightning Lad were some of my favourite characters. Crazy that Yuri Lowenthal voiced both Superman and Spiderman
I honestly enjoyed the legion of superheroes cartoon and thought it was an unforgettable DC series connected to Superman and his mythos. Also, Imperiex was clearly the main villain of season 2. While the ultimate villain of that season was meant to be a surprise, even though he was spoiled at the start of season, I do at least think that the main villain Imperiex was an imposing villain that wasn't utilized much outside of the comics.
i had went through this series a couple of years ago in it's entirety after only having seen a couple episodes as a kid and i loved the hell out of it, it was really fun
Always loved the Legion. I remember way, WAY back in late 1972, seeing a comic titles Legion of Super Heroes. I later learned it was just reprints, but for eight months I picked up all four issues, then BAM! the reptings stopped, the Legion took over the cover of Superboy, and I was exposed to Dave Cockrum's art for the first time. I've been hooked every since.
this show gets better with time. the character development is nicely paced out and it sucks that it got cancelled due to kidswb being taken over by 4kidstv
I'm glad to see this video, because I'd totally forgotten about this show! It's a super underrated gem of a series. If you like DC animated shows, then you owe it to yourself to go watch it. I'm sure it's streaming somewhere online.
I remember watching only one episode of this series and I enjoyed the hell out of it, I remember watching it on Cartoon Network and I was like "yea, a nice realization of Brainiac actually being good?" It was done well
I have heard of the show but I never saw it. They had like McDonald's toys for it but it wasn't playing on any channel so I couldn't find it and then I just forgot about it
I enjoyed the show, but it did feel like it was missing something that could’ve propelled it to Teen Titans status with how it was handled. It’s possible it was the bigger cast, but I think it was something about how it was written that made it feel more….“safe”? It really felt like a Kids Saturday Morning Cartoon, which….well yeah, it was. It’s kind of like how Justice League Action was a good show, but something about it really made it feel like it was aimed at the audience it was even back then, when I was the age group it was aimed I wish we could’ve gotten more episodes, because I really enjoyed the concept despite my feelings on how it was handled when I was a kid. The theme song is still sick.
This cartoon was as great as Teen Titans 2003. A shame it ended on a cliffhanger. I also would've loved to have seen a crossover with this and Teen Titans.
This was the first superman show I ever saw, its half the reason I even like superman anyway. He's just gets turned evil so much I just couldn't get behind it, probably never would have liked him with out losh
Always loved this series back then, followed it hard when it was still airing (Was my first intro to the legion as a whole). Shame it rarely it gets acknowledged nowadays but glad to see more love for it. Best designs of the legion for me hands down (Also fun fact, same character designer here also did work for Transformers Animated, Ben 10 Omniverse, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated and Teen Titans, Derrick J Wyatt (R.I.P.)) And yeah that third season would've been great, the only time I give a screw you to 4kids is for that.
The series isnt forgoten for some country's such as mine, theres ike another version of cartoon network dedicated to bringing old series like these ones and streaming .
I enjoyed the show and probably would have forgotten about it, but then they fucking killed Ferro Lad at the end and it took me by surprise for a kids show to just unambiguously kill a hero character and it burned the series into my memory.
It's not forgotten I think it's just not really memorable. It definitely wasn't a dud but just never got out of it being anything different from everything else out at the time
@@Redxterminator depends on your sense of humor I guess. If you like literal non-stop cursing in place of good dialogue and writing then it's the show for you.
Everytime I hear Yuri Lowenthal's voice it sounds like the same 2 characters. If he playing a good guy it's a Yosuke/Ben Tennyson type...if hes tryna sound edgy it sounds like Sasuke. It's kinda why I also prefer Miles over Peter in the Insomniac games. Maybe I'm just used to hear it over the last 20 years but shit.
