Do we know if Giffany acted this crazy with everyone else she ever met? We don't know if the developers of her game tried to delete her for what we see of her personality or just because she's essentially an AI Goddess with her powers and potential? cause all we know about her past is that the people who created her... tried to kill her, and we're never given a clear reason why, only assumptions. it doesn't justify her behavior but I can definitely see where she'd develop the mentality and desperation from.
I find it weird that it said "accidental artificial intelligence" xD Like you can't creat a AI without knowing that you are creating one/knowing what you are doing in first place. You have to do algorithms, feed a lot of data, do many more things and also repeat all these processes dozens of times to make it even work/be sure you have a functioning Ai. Still interestingt way of viewing the backstory.
Agreed. And I especially love how Soos immediately tries getting rid of her game the moment he sees her gaslighting and possessive behavior towards him because unfortunately not everyone is able to immediately leave that kind of toxic relationship when they realize the red flags with their partner.
Oh I love Giffany... her character is so well structered... just wish she had more EPs to be in (Edit:1) thank you so much for the likes... my comments useally don't get alot or any at all (not guilt tripping) so i am really gratefull)
@@Shadowrose54321 It was my lame attempt at a joke. Heh. Remember how 5.25" and 3.5" floppies had a little "notch" you would cover to make it unwriteable? That's what I was referring to. I probably used the wrong term... I haven't used a floppy in decades.
I've seen the concept art for Giffany and it looks identical to Monika from Doki Doki. Very eerie how similar Giffany is to Monika. Giffany is such a cool character and villain! 😀
This is like a DDLC and FNAF crossover-inside GRAVITY FALLS!!! I just watched this episode for the first time the other day (I started watching Gravity Falls on Tuesday, and I’m already halfway through Season 2 now-it’s so good!), and it definitely creeped me out a little bit, but now that I’m watching it a second time here, it’s not so bad anymore.
@@louiselee7225 yes but the thing is this episode was made a month after the release of fnaf meaning the episode was being worked on way before fnaf came out
Is no one gonna talk about how gravity falls predicted both fnaf and ddlc Self aware dating simulator is both this episode and ddlc and ddlc was released in 2017 And possessed animatronic animals in a pizzeria trying to kill u is both this episode and fnaf Now this episode was released after fnaf was but it was only a month later meaning the episode was being worked on way before fnaf even came out
Just stand in Giffany's shoes for a moment... how do you think how you would feel for people just to use you for training to date and don't axusly love you and leave you because you are a machine who has feelings and able to think and talk just for a different person... no wonder she wants soos... she just wants someone to love her like a real person
I wouldn't emotionally abuse, try to manipulate, and threaten to kill my crush and their friends if they didn't do what I wanted, that's for sure. I sympathise much more with Soos than with her
@@Scudmaster11 if giffany was an actual person in real life she'd have committed multiple crimes even before the final confrontation in the pizzeria. i'd... go to the police station... and report it... at the very least i'd get a restraining order.
@@coryjamieson3171 this should have dealt with right when he saw her get angry when he said "I think I should be with someone a little less beep boop" He should have noticed this isn't normal and tried to actually calm her down and try to help her. Giffany is sentient but was hurt so many times that she has lost her mind and each new player is another opportunity only for it to end the same. She gets abandoned because she is a game character but nobody knows just how human she really is.
@@coryjamieson3171 yes, the game was returned 3 times to beeblyboop's video games in the mall of Gravity Falls. Suggesting she had been abandoned many times before, which would explain her desperation for a relationship. When Soos found it in the bargain bin it had a note that said destroy at all costs Apparently Giffany on her last encounter with a player, traumatized him, possibly showed her sentient nature and so the guy thought the game was possessed or something and returned it
what I have been wondering is, was she was going to steal his soul? like is that her thing, she collects the souls of people she dates and grows more powerful or was she actually going to be with him once she uploaded his brain 🤔 also 2:28 shots like this is what made this show so special.
It's typical feminine programming. Inclusivity is the name of their game In this case an AI like this is like mr meseeks for the end user I say typical because all women treat you like the last stop while they're with you. I don't know if that's just a natural pair bonding mechanism I find it kind of annoying because it suggests that there can't be any insufficiency to their profile. That old chestnut Meanwhile, millions of women exist that you might be able to glean talents and services. If you think about it for two seconds right, if a woman wants what you can't provide, you'll be reviled for being less of a man. They go out to the broader company of men for maintenance, pretty much righteously If you spend a couple extra minutes having a good conversation with the checkout clerk because she's pleasant, you must be fixin to cheat. In other words we can't reach out to the broader scope to fulfill practical needs. Make no mistake, humans require social connectivity to feel whole
Soos picked the *right* choice, you want to choose two things but one isn’t right for you. Like let’s say you’re addicted to drugs, and it feels wrong as time goes on.
What makes Giffany so terrifying is that she implies to Soos that she killed her own creators somehow. This was definitely one of the creepier episodes in Gravity Falls
My personal favorite scene in this episode is the "shrine of televisions" scene; where Soos is talking to Giffany in a shrine of TV's. If I were Soos, I would surrender to Giffany, give up dating in the real world, and stuck with Giffany for life; for in reality, I feel that I'm NOT well-liked by women because of my lifelong disability.😢
Well, Monica heavily resembles Giffany's concept art, and the real life Journal 3 for Gravity Falls says Giffany didn't die, and that she escaped to another game. It's highly possible that Gravity Falls lore makes Monika and Giffany the same person, trying again.
Bill? I'm pretty sure he couldn't since he wasn't a physical being untill later on. He maybe could've possesed someone into making her but seems pretty unlikely and it would probably be mentioned.
Sadly, this is the reality in places like China and other lonely stricken places. Instead of being aware of a threat like GIFFANY, we instead willingly walk towards it because our loneliness is too much to bear and decide we're better off with an AI relationship. Well done, humanity.
I wonder what would happen if bill cipher and giffany ever met? Would they team up with each other and cause grief and destruction or will they start a rivalry against each other and fight at each other? Who knows?
Realizing now that if Soo’s hadn’t got stuck in the arcade game in the earlier episode, Giffany would’ve found herself in the Street Fighter game and been able to become real. Would’ve been an interesting plot line to explore, could’ve had her and Ken get along in the end etc.
Imagine if she were real and took control of the life sized moving Gundam in Japan. We would have been so fucked considering the firepower of what’s simply a human shaped tank.
Giffanny have a point. Because of hypergamy women date up and marry up which makes them super picky. In a way Giffany is trying to save him from pain but to us she is going about it so aggressive she becomes a villian.
I actually called Monika “Alolan GIFFany” because if you go to the Kanto region and played DDLC there, you’ll get the pink haired girl from Gravity Falls instead.
This episode makes me depressed. I am an adult, but I haven't grown up mentally. I now realized that men who grew up doing what they want are less likely trained in reality. I realized that what I just said is causing the great recession. I'd date Giffany, the cursed AI not because it's weird or an idiotic thing a human would do, but I'm very tired of being left out and unloved (physically). I'm basically like a reality variant of Rapunzel in the tower. How did Rapunzel maintain her happiness there?
