We all missed out on what Harvey Milk could have accomplished. He cared for everyone in his community. Some people are gifted with high positive energy levels and Harvey definitely had it. What a tragic loss for all.

I went to the Castro for the first time ever today whilst on vacation from England. My partner had not heard of Milk before and it was my privilege to tell him about Harvey and what he stood for, what he fought for, and ultimately what he died for. One thing I’ve learned on this trip is that while San Francisco is a lovely place, it does seem to need someone of the calibre of Harvey Milk to step up and do what’s right by the city, and it’s populace.
