I love how videogame characters have learned to quickly regain their eyesight and hearing after being subjected to a blast that should blind and deafen you for hours.
should not surprise over how some would regen in mere seconds and run for hours without catching a breath (i mean it's common sense at this point but like cmon)
Welcome to the videogames world, they are videogames, not real life. Like could you imagine being blinded for HOURS (or minutes) each time they throw a flashbang at you in a cod game for example? Tbh you sound just like old people that play/react to videogames for the 1st time: "how can your character get shot 4 times and recover in a couple of seconds?" its like dude shut up, its a videogame.
Out of all the games shown, i think Tarkov is the only game that does it justice. I love the way the burns in the eyes stay in view for what seems like quite a few in game minutes after the flashbang goes off, very nice attention to detail.
@@alface935 WaW and WW2 don't technically have flashbangs because they weren't invented yet so signalflares are used instead. Although COD WW2 does have a concusion grenade, the closest thing for concussion grenades in WaW is the Gas Grenade. I'm unsure if the Nintendo ports don't have flashbangs or concussions but I do know that CoD WW2 and WaW both technically don't have Flashbangs on a technicallity sense.
Coolest idea for an alternate to flashbangs is definitely Blacklight Retribution where it makes your helmet bluescreen of death for a few seconds before rebooting.
Tarkov devs really like to make things realistic like recording actual gunshot sound in different environment, they might as well just flashbang each other to see what would happen
Now In MW2 2022 The Flashbang's feels like some big brolic black dude named fucking 'requis' pulled a fucking bedsheet up and around our head's and just proceeded to skull fuck us
I'm probably stating the obvious, but only Tarkov gets close to a real flashbang. Your vision flickers to complete darkness with an imprint of the blast and an afterimage of whatever you saw, that lasts for a few minutes, the only white light should be a split second before the dark. The only other game with acceptable flashbangs was Blacklight R. as they made your screen get a bluescreen and reboot.
I can't speak on the white light but I had a similar audio effect to 5:23 after being exposed to a very loud noise but it had a relatively slower build to the ring. Still very fast but not instant like shown. Maybe ~1 second. 8:19 does a better job with the build-up and mental feeling how its not a consistent noise and is more like an unsteady ringing almost like a siren that gets louder and quieter like you can very quietly hear at 6:31. The pulsing causes the worse headache
everybody talking about the thumbnail and Tarkov's realism but no one talking about the PPSh-41 with the EOTech sight at 7:23 Also why didnt you put a headphones warning at soldners :(
I just want to mention that the payday 2 clip only shows your own flashbangs, enemy flashbangs do a normal flash of white light, and the same effect of your own comes after the white light ends
Great video. One question, though. Have you ever considered the Metal Gear series? They have many of the same weapons you've played in your other videos.
Cool video! The one that I remember as being really good was in Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (2003). I've never experienced a flashbang in real life but to me it seemed realistic and immersive. From what I recall, there would be a bright flash and loud bang (of course) but the screen would quickly go dark with blotches of greenish afterimage that would remain superimposed for a long while as you regained your vision. Somewhat like the Tarkov one but with ringing in the ears too. The Battlefield 2 effect is impressive, especially for how old it is. A lot of the newer ones are probably adjusted and toned down for gameplay balancing reasons.
Not a game mentioned in this video, and seemingly not as realistic of a depiction as Tarkov, I want to appreciate Ready or Not for having the most violent sounding flashbangs I’ve ever heard in a game.
awww you didn´t show the SWAT 4 flashbang, that´s one of the most noisy flashes i´ve ever heard, but hey, you managed to put every CoD in it at least :/
@@rubens1767 try putting a flashlight directly onto your eyes then look at your room. It doesn't make everything brighter, it makes it slightly darker.
