Can you help me sir? i downloaded the update.zip and the country is Southeast Asia since I am here at the Philippines. Can you help me Sir? It didn't work. Too many errors. Finding update package... Opening update package.. Verifying update package.. E: footer is wrong E: signature verification failed Installation aborted.

I found the recovery image for slate 7 here: support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-slate-7-hd-tablet/5447828 It auto selects your OS to windows, you need to change it android to see the recovery image file that was released in 2015. I hope this helps anyone else. I'll reply back to this comment if the recovery works for me.
