@@cosmicgamingunlimited using the latest revision 20240702. I have tried multiple sandisk sd cards with the same results. Ive gone back to the last JELOS version for now which does not have this issue. I'll test the next Rocknix release when it comes out.
@@berva My Max3 had a screen catastrophic failure ehen I made this video (Like, I had to scrap footage I had planned to use in the video!) so I did not have time to test sleep modes, game performance, or stability. I am thinking of just hooking it up to a monitor to test it out while I wait for parts.
I seemed to have solved the issue. Apparently when downloading the file from the site it wasn't downloading the full file. I had to download it 4 times before I got the full installation.
@@cosmicgamingunlimited Yes, I did. I ended up flashing the original version that came with the device back to it on a new SD card. I'll just stick with that since it seems to be the only OS that doesn't glitch on me.
mine worked but my games did not show up with jelous or rocknix... how do i make a file for games had this for 6 months working on it 8 hours a week and nothing
File structures need to be done in a specific way. I think you can stick a blank SD card in and have it generate a file structure. You may be able to rename the folders to what is needed. I think the SD card also needs to be exFat
@@cosmicgamingunlimited ok but i dont think you just put a blank card in tho.. maybe name a folder rom, roms, games, Rocknix, i dont what name does it tho if any? but i will try that thanks
@@mrtravoiceburges on the SD card that contains the Rocknix Custom Firmware, the directory names will be inside of the roms folder. You can copy the entire roms folder over to your games SD card. Then place your roms into the correct folders. Hope this helps.
JELOS and Rocknix are very similar. Rocknix just is getting support continuous support where JELOS support has stopped. The JELOS team had decided that they weren't a full time OS creator, as it was supposed to be only a hobby for them. The decided to go back to being a hobby group and only making custom firmwares for devices they used within their own group, instead of a wide range of devices. Some people decided to continue to work on the custom firmware and renamed it Rocknix (in name of the chip line the CFW would support). Rocknix will have added features and some bug fixes that are not present in JELOS, but at the end of the day they are very similar. Just think of JELOS as an older build of Rocknix.
if you have only one sd card, yes. if you have two cards like me then no. you can always move the games to your computer and put them back on the sd card.
