My wife and I spent an afternoon at Flatford Mill in the heart of Constable country in Suffolk. We walked several miles around Dedham Vale taking in many of the scenes depicted in some of Constable's paintings, including Willy Lott's cottage featured in 'The Haywain'.

4:21 around 2001-2002 I stayed in that cottage with my primary school it’s the only trip I remember in full detail I stayed in the bottom room top bunk right hand side of the door and everyone was scared because of the branches hitting the windows 😂 my best my favourite memory was setting mammal traps I caught a vole 😂 I’ll never forget it

Thanks for that David, it brought back memories of the same trip we did a few years ago, only the weather wasn`t quite as nice as that. While we were in Suffolk we also visited Lavenham, beautiful place, never seen so many timber framed houses, well worth a visit.

Thanks again David. It´s almost as though you read my mind @ 1:14, I thought I wonder if he´s gonna focus in on that wonderful light timbered house on the left, ...though it´s now looking a bit neglected with the overgrown foliage at the front compared to when I saw it 5 or 6 years ago.

Lovely video David. I assume the young lady with the blue rucksack is your wife? Every time I attempt to video my wife walking away from the camera, she goes a few yards, stops pulls out her camera to take pictures and ruins my shot!! Either that or she stops to look behind her to see where I am. Any tips for training her up?!!
