Flatworld by Daniel Greaves 

I was thinking the cat reminded me of Simon's Cat, then Simon Tofield is listed as a key animator - no wonder!

I watched this almost every time my family visited my grandma - she had it on video from when it aired on BBC - and it has been the constant source of inspiration and enjoyment. Thank you very much Daniel Greeves - you have inspired me to become an illustrator and animator.

Finally I watch again this amazing short film after near 14 years. I watched it first time on Locomotion Channel.

This was my son's favourite film when he was 4-5 years. We had it on video tape. I'm so happy i found it here. Many thanks!

Right after downloading this in 2003 i bought a VHS copy of this film, its just so good, and you have to watch it a few times to get the full picture, brilliant movie!

Wow!!! This is definitely amazing. Not only is the visual style and animation impressive, but the story is wonderful. The characters too. I haven't enjoyed something so much in a long time. Congratulations to all those involved in this beautiful piece of art.

Some of the most amazing and creative animation ever made. And with a great story to match! Far more people should be aware of this film.

You can get it on some of the British Animation Awards compilations. They make it very hard to find in their DVD shop, but I think Volume 2 of the Box of Delights, and also the one called "Best of British Animation Awards Vol.2". When your content is hard to get, people pirate it. I have the volume 2 dvd mentioned above, but it's frustrating this can't be seen on netflix or something like that--such beautiful content!

Pero la puta madre, en serio me hiciste caer en la nostalgia a ver ese cortometraje, recuerdo el canal Locomotion cuando era niño, Locotomia pasaba los mejores cortos, creo que fue allí que lo vi, lagrimee bastante al recordar mi infancia, gracias por este vídeo, ahora a seguir buscando cortos de Locotomia :')

I am amazed by the animation in this, so fluid. Must have taken so long to produce, very much worth it though, brilliant. =]

pase muchos años buscando este video, recuerdo q los vi en locomotion aqui en argentina. yo lo recordab como q era un perro en vez de un gato el personaje, y recuerdo que duraba 8 xD
