Flaxseed gel with Herbal Hydrosol

This week we're making flaxseed gel with the hydrosol we made from last week. It only takes a few minutes to make however you need to refrigerate your product if you don't use in natural preservative. The hydrosol is made with peppermint, Rosemary, time, lavender, fennel seed, and chamomile.

Omega-3 Fabulous ~ Curious... Will this be one application for you? & Does your Hydrosol Aroma remain viable?

AnoushBotanical no the aroma is gone. I only use it to retwist my locks so I can get about 4 retwists out of this.

Could you have poured it as soon as you turned the pot off and allow it to congeal in the cooling process?

Sherona J. You can't really pour it after the gel starts forming. Some people squeeze out the gel right after, but it's too hot for me.

Hi Kris! Quick question are you done with the wax melt business and if so why did you stop if you don’t mind me asking. I’m wanting to start making wax melts and ran up on an old video of yours but nothing recent in candle wax

Hi, I made this once before many years ago but the gel really flaked up in my hair once it dried. I did the exact thing you just did only I used plain water. I never tried again. Have you ever had a problem with this creating build up flakes in your hair?

Suds 'n Satin I have heard that also, but I never have had that problem with flaking. I use the gel to retwist and to hydrate between washes. I apply a lb out a quarter size amount to palms and rake it through my locs. Then I apply a small amount of my whipped Shea. Works every time. But you know with natural hair... What works for one may nor work for all.

@@kayorcee yeah I have locs too and was looking for a more natural gel to use but it did not work out for me.
