But since your journey of the cottage series, I have become a great admirer of yours. For me you are not only a carpenter, an architect or an interior and possibly landscape designer and much more but a constant optimist. You have given me life lessons through the screen. I see that you are always so happy and excited for smallest things. I see that you value relationships may it be with antique or modern furniture or humans and of course Kinsley . You want to do it and you do it, you try, you fail but u have your heart set to it and so the universe gives it to you. You have intoxicating energy and glow that lights up my day. You have shown me how to love your work and persue the work you love. You are an independent, fierce and energetic human. And we can see you got it from your mom. Thank you for not only giving us videos where you build your dream cottage but also valuable wisdom. I am forever your fan. Love you all the way from India.

You did a fantastic job building your kitchen cabinets and island. It looks SO GREAT! I almost lost it when I saw the countertop installer drop his pulley/handle thing on your hardwood floors. I was like - NO HE DIDN’T! 😮You are such an inspiration and an all-around incredible woman. You’re killing it girl! I was moved to tears when you told Kinsley you would pick her up to see the new countertops. It touched my heart! I cannot wait to see the vanities and the guest bathroom finished. I was thinking black the second you started talking about island paint colour, and was so satisfied by the end result. Perfect choice to bring together the windows and soapstone, and gives the open-concept area a nice dose of contrast (I know you were worried about the rug in the dining room being too "blend-y." This might be too late of an idea, but I think a little hidden pull-out pantry in the space between the island and the "pony wall" would also be a great use of space. You could keep the uglier/refill spices in there (that way everything is next to each other), and visually it would look the same as if it didn't exist.

I watched video the other day where this decorated this huge, old buffet and she had painted it black. My mom passed when I was 9, and I just had my first baby- a daughter…I keep thinking - I may not have gotten the mom like her, but I’ll certainly be the mama like hers to my girl - present and interested and joyful and silly together💛
