I have been drinking less and less over time, but yeah, it’s a struggle that might not be worth it. I’m just doing what I think is best at this point because I tried it before and I have bipolar disorder and anytime I would fall off I would destroy my entire life as a result. I couldn’t handle the failure. But maybe the temporary failures are worth the growth, you know? It’s hard. I just want to feel good because I hate myself. Love, a crazy internet bitch.

My buddy found a close mutual friend deceased in his bathroom. As a result he drank a lot to try to forget the scene. He wrecked a few cars and finally decided to try AA. He is almost 2 years now. I don't like crowds so I just stopped drinking in solidarity with him. I made it 1.5 years before I decided to have a small drink in memory of my step dad passing. I also like to think I have it under control but when I say I'd give a finger or toe to be able to drink like when I was in my 20s. Sobriety has been amazing though. Juice and tea are great

I learned to surf in Lahaina, my mom worked out there for 25 years at the Marriott, I performed Taiko drums at Whalers Village as a kid, and I spent countless days exploring every inch of that town. Theo. We grew up poor…real poor. School clothes were everything. We got like 2 t shirts from the family bargain center and some jeans from Beanos. Anyway…one time my little sister had her “1st day” outfit all laid out and I wore it. It was a $7 fleece vest from old navy, but she legit tried to stab me with a fork over it. That’s how important school clothes were….thank you for reminding me…my kids are too spoiled!
