In 2022, combat operations took place around the village of Shestakove. Dozens of private houses, a school, a clinic, and other buildings were destroyed and damaged there.
Ukrainian troops liberated the village in May 2022. Currently, more than 400 people live there, including Valentina Vasylivna, who stayed at home with her son during the occupation of Shestakove.
