Thank you NatureTec for giving us the opportunity to witness a small part of the lives of these fascinating little birds. Apple is a remarkable bird, I can't remember the exact numbers but she had close to 40 chicks, (maybe even more). There are many Apple-Pies and Apple-Strudels flying around in the area. Pie and Strudel were magnificent fathers and Apple is a miracle of nature, a doting and loving mother. Over the 3 years, it was so wonderful to see them raise their chicks and I guess the mystery of Apples blue-fluff, will forever remain her secret.💙💙💙

It's beautiful and comical and wonderful! Always sad to say goodbye/have it overwith... such a sweet time of watching. But how cheer-worthy that all the hatchlings grew successfully, brilliantly, and fledged so magnificently! Bye little cuties!

Compared to all the other fledges over several years, they definitely were quite chaotic. Like they did not seem like they were leaving at all that day... And then all gone in the blink of a moment

First they all stirred up around and most flew out in mere seconds but the second to last one took his time chillin' at the exit before he/she dared to fly out, with the last one waiting for his/her brother/sister to move so he/she could get out.

That was the quickest fledging. After Apple pulls the poop out they were all watching. It just caused them to go into a frenzy and leave the nest. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 With the first clutch with and Pie she laid an egg in the middle of the clutch and they fleged shortly after. She has some interesting tactics but they work to get them out fast.

What I think has happened here was, that the chicks got startled by something, then the parent came in and when It flew out, the fledglings panicked and left the nest box in a hurry. And the remaining two weren't really sure what to do then. It was contact-calling it's siblings a lot!
