The horrible take on Bob Welch is really cringeworthy - though I know to each his own. To dismiss his contributions apart from sentimental lady (which is nowhere near his best song- for example hypnotized demolishes it I’d say) and night watch is just an inexplicable opinion! Bob Welch was key in their evolution into mainstream rock success and his presence elevated their game to my ears anyway and yes I am from the USA.
20 minutes into this, which actually leaves out quite a bit, and Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are just about to enter the story, lol. I knew Fleetwood had a long history before them, but it's interesting to see it.
Never knew the history of Fleetwood Mac, and had no idea there was so many other members in the band. Nothing like Stevie, Lindsey, Christy, John and Mick! They’ll always be a great memory in my life❤❤❤❤
a blank CD in 1979 or 80? sorry billy. they didn't exist yet. you had a crappy cassette like we all had. you would have to have had a burner too. get real.
Ok ! Here's a tough one ! A crazy drummer and a drunken bassplayer (Not a bassist !) Sucking on composer guitarists and singers , tearing them up as a pair of underwear , becoming millionaires without writing one song ! So without Peter Green and Lindsey Buckingham there wouldn't have been a FM , and they could have been in the barcircuit forever ! PG and LB was definitely the creative leaders of that band !
Excellent documentary. I will note that the song ‘In My World’ was on the Buckingham McVie album from 2017 and does feature four Fleetwood Mac members even though it’s not technically a Fleetwood Mac album.
It's true. Thank God for good rehabs tho. Coke is hard as fk to stop. Leaves you in depression too. But like she sed. Look at yourself after you control that urge and you'll see beauty.
Danny Kirwin wrote some of Mac's most beautiful and melodic songs not to mention his guitar skills. I never felt that Bob Welch really fit in. Peter Green is and always be a legend. legend
In the first halve of the 1970’s F.M. must have been on tour constantly. I remember seeing them open for almost every concert I went to except for Zeppelin. I love the Bob Welch years my favorite and when they were recording the first Lp with Buckingham, Nicks at the record plant in Mill valley, I met them. I acted like a snob very immature. What a great band and fantastic discography . I have them all on Cd except after Tusk. I was in love with Joni Mitchell and Christine Perfect in my teens.
Weird comment- I think the bio is super entertaining and informative. You want to hear their music, there are other avenues, dude! This is a biographical documentary. Enough said.
