why come on here to post shitty negative comments ?? misinformed ones at that. mick Fleetwood was self taught. he is dyslexic. and has is own style and technique of drumming - that he taught himself. if you don't like it why watch, why listen. its certainly working alright for mick and the rest of the band. who by the way have just finished a tour that's been sold out all over the world and lasted 14 months.....
+pat1clare So what if he's dyslexic? How does that have any affect on how a person drums? The Def Leppard drummer has 1 arm and he still sounds more badass than Mick. I mean, come on. How many drummers have the audience do silly chants with them during their solo?
I now Fleetwood Mac more than 40 year,s but this drum solo of Mick is for me the best ever, what is Mick a genius and i hope that Mick will stay to us for many years. Greatings from Holland.
I feel so ALIve when i hear Fleetwood Mac, anything they do bring pure 110% GOLD!!!! No so called music of today even comes close!!!! Not that i am comparing XP
One of the things that makes me KNOW those "click-bait" things you get in your feeds are all trash: the list of "25 Greatest Rock Drummers" doesn't include Mick Fleetwood, nor does the list of "25 greatest rock guitarists" include Lindsey Buckingham. Both are absolutely phenomenal!!!!!!
I have no idea if he's good or not, and I really don't care about "technique", but I sure do love me some FM songs!! For as much money he has made, I'm thinking he's not that bad...
"Mick Fleetwood was deathly sick just the night before this concert and was throwing up all over the place and Fleetwood Mac's drum tech came in and filled in on one song and then they called it a night after playing one more solo piano song with Christie McVeigh.... mind you this was in January when flu season is at it's high, so no doubt at his older age it took a lot out of him so give the guy a break...."
FM sound great live!! No doubt!! Mick can keep a beat, however a great drummer?? Ummm.. not even close. That said, a huge success they are. Can't deny that.
This song ("World Turning") is Fleetwood Mac's best song of the Buckingham/Nicks era (only "Hypnotized" & "Bare Trees" r better). The rhythm & arrangement r so in-sync w/each other that it just makes it so easy 2 listen 2.
La🐺 effrenée de belle musicalité 💖 la 🎼 avec Fleetwood Mac Encore - World Turning - Live - Mick Fleetwood Drum Solo - January 2015 ¸.•'**☆ ╰⊰✿ 🎹🎸Formidable !
Good performance, but here's my question: Why do they keep "As The World Turns" in their set? I never considered this song to be one of Fleetwood Mac's best or most important songs. It's the one song on their eponymously-titled 1975 "white album" that I would have removed, as I felt it was nothing more than filler.
...wow ! the audio in this place is horrible; sounds like some huge warehouse out in the middle of nowhere....terrible, terrible acustics !! Help US out, stevie!
The guy has played on many great classic songs I’ll give him that. But I get pissed off every time they come out with another Greatest Rock Drummer list and he’s always on the top ten. This solo is a perfect example why he shouldn’t be on any list. Which also by him being on those lists is knocking off a drummer who truly deserves to be on there. ( By the way, I’ve been playing drums for over 40+ years). And in the drumming community, it is s big joke about Mick being herald as one of the great rock drummers.
Wow such a bold condemnation from you, Ed, with your 40 years of drumming experience. I'm sorry, I missed the name of the Hall of Fame band you played for? Or your discography? Something that would let us know what qualifies you to render judgement? The Hi-fi Hillbillies? Or maybe not you. www.thebash.com/oldies-band/the-hi-fi-hillbillies-vintage-rock-roll Anyway, I'm sorry you're the lightning rod for my own commentary which is that it gets tiresome hearing people who have not accomplished anything close to what others may have accomplished talk shit about them and badmouth them. What's the purpose and what's to be gained?
Don't think you all understand what a drum solo is. My x of 10 years was a drummer. When the band took time (usually in the middle of the show) to introduce each band member..each did a short solo. This is the time for the drummer to go off "The" tempo and do his own thing which never had a steady rhythm.
The erm, drum solo is like watching ure old granddad play who hasn't played in his life before. I mean NO technique whatsoever. A complete embarrassment to the art of drumming. Pitiful.
I do not think much of anybody claims Mick Fleetwood is the best drummer of all time. I believe there is an interview with Mick where is admits to not having much of any technique.
Paul Bentley People get old, just as you will. I got to a Paul McCartney concert(maybe the greatest living rock star) just for the pleasure of watching him live, not with stupid expectations of hearing him sing like when he was 25. I go because it is an honor to see a living legend perform. What's funny is that Mick Fleetwood, just as the rest of the band have reached immortality. Keep bashing, man. Let's see if someone remembers your name in 40 years...
