@ellabear3-They did ask Christine to be on the album (she now lives in England somewhere in the counrtyside,I don't know anything about England) and she said no, It was her choice
You have to have Christine in that group. Her songwriting and vocal contributions made that group what it is. Otherwise it becomes the Stevie Buckingham show which has become really overused.
+ Michael Jamison Covel It always was their show once they entered the band and sent it to superstardom (from being mere mainstream before them entering). FM became defacto Buckingham Nicks 2.0. Thing is they have gone non Buckingham Nicks after 1987 (Tango, the last with that line up). it was a Nicks show from late 80s - early 90s. It was meh, lackluster and rode the coattails of Tango. Not even close though. They did one without neither of Buckingham-Nicks mid 90s and it flopped. Then came "The Dance" reunion and that hit the charts. Cristine left the band after that. "Say you Will" was a Buckingham Nicks thing pretty much without Cristine there, but still called it FM. Yet when FM reunited in 2017 with Cristine but Nicks refusing to show up, for some reason it was prevented from being called FM and sold as Buckingham-McVie which did well among the critics. Poor Cristine.
@@aracelymoran2504 you got it! Sick of those two shitheads Before FM they were broke and were given a winning lottery ticket by Mick&John. They are nothing without Mick/John and Christine!
@@locovel10 Buckingham Nicks should have been called FM in 2017 when Cristine returned but Nicks didn't. Just like non Nicks infused FM albums were called FM, or non Buckingham infused FM were considered FM albums. Just me, but it was a lack of value toward Cristine who returned, co wrote half of the songs with Buckingham (like in Tango) but was said to her "Sorry you are not FM worthy, nor FM without Nicks. Call it something else". Disrespectful.
+ Era Tschebotarjew No. She felt she had to leave because she developed a fear of flying and other issues. Just felt she couldn't do it anymore. 16 years later she returned for Buckingham McVie album which was supposed to be a FM album but Nicks refused to colab.
