@@Voltar I'm not gonna lie and say i don't have a drink, but 42 years will do that to you. But the hard drugs, no way, I'd put a bullet thru my head 1'st. Its quicker with the same results. Glad you get it wiwithout having to go thru it. MAGA my friend, vote.
Always loving hearing Stevie talk. She can be amazing one day and maddening and crazy the next, but she's always so interesting. A big part of what made their songs so special.
Late 70's & 80's hair? Been there & it's ALOT of work. Anyway, If that ever happens, join me in buying stock in Aqua Net hairspray and we'll both be rich!
@@coastallad1010 Since I was there, I can say that hair started getting big (& Aqua Net hairspray stock SOARED) in 1978. So yes, mostly 80's, but from 1978 til atleast 1993...hair was as tall, wide, big and curly as one could manage.
You can be in love without being friends. It is the opposite with Mick and Stevie they are soul mates or at least just really good friends they might not be in love with each other. It is sad but if it had not happened the Rumours album would not have been made.
@@ApplePie..You again. Failure to understand the full picture - again. CAH's was an account written 25 years after the event, with at least 3 proven false events. I don't doubt Lindsey was violent at times - he had a drug addiction and was epileptic. Not a great combo. Stevie is on film admitting she was violent too in 1987 - she strangled Lindsey. CAH was also volatile. It's very common with substance abuse. While that doesn't excuse any of their behaviour, it does explain it. Storms finishes in 1984. Lindsey worked really hard to clean himself up soon after - he left the band in 1987 to avoid drug abuse that Stevie and Mick were still involved in. Stevie strangled him and chased him out of the house to his car, punching and scratching at him. He pinned her down on the bonnet of his car and held her by her neck. He then drove off. He avoided the band for a decade because he recognised it was toxic and he needed distance from Stevie. In his relationships since 1984, none of his girlfriends or his wife of 22 years (and no, to date there are still no divorce proceedings) ever reported any form of violence. Lindsey has 3 adult children who he has really positive relationships with. They clearly love him. That's the acid-test for me. He needs to be allowed to move on from something at least 3 of them are guilty of 40 years ago. Change the f**king record.
I love Stevie Nicks..I have since I was 13yrs old.But she owe's it all to Lindsey. He is a musical genius and there is no "Fleetwood Mac "without him.The latest firing of him just sucks.I will never see them without Lindsey.I did in 1987..and it just wasn't the same!!
@@mariecruzmoth8137 well that’s just the stupidest most blindsided comment in here. Fleetwood Mac is and has been proven was NOTHING without Stevie. Nothing. How do you explain her Solo career that is just as successful sells out the same arenas and small stadiums the Mac does but on her own. No Lindsey, No Mic No John just great musicians that form her band with her amazing background singers that are the same since 1978 when they started practicing. Can’t believe I’m ranting and raving like so but I cannot stand stupid people and stupid uneducated compliments.
It’s crazy that Lindsey and Stevie can’t speak to each other, but on stage it’s like they never broke up. The chemistry between them, goddamnit get it together guys so we can get some music!! 😩😩😩😩😩😩
I believe Stevie felt betrayed by Lindsey for (who knows what) & it was bad enuff that she had him pushed out of the band. When you think about it, that kind of reaction only happens bcuz you care so MUCH. No one will ever convince me that Stevie doesn’t still secretly love Lindsey or Vice versa. Those 2 are the real soul mates.
Lindsey has been very clear publicly that he doesn't want it to be like this. He's mellowed out over the years and he'd still value her friendship in his life rather than how things are, despite what she did to him in 2018. Stevie doesn't want that. It's such a shame because her bitterness is slowly but surely consuming her.
@@nymike06 , I think Lindsey, John Mcvie, and Christine Mcvie where the most important members in Fleetwood Mac. They all had a very unique style/sound, seemed bright, and in Lindseys wrote the most songs. So when the internal jealousy got out of control with Stevie, she eliminated the most important band member who had a unique gtr style, and voice.... Lets not forget that Stevie would most likely not be where she is had Lindsey not helped he climb up the latter, she is there because he taught her so much!!!
YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME WHEN YOU PLAY AND SING. STEVIE NICKS IS A GREAT PERSON WITH AN INCREDIBLE VOICE. WORK ALL THE DIFFERENCE OUT BETWEEN EACH OTHER. YOU GUYS MUSIC AND SINGING WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON. PLEASE BRING BACK YOU ALL MUSIC IN 2020.
Plumb Awl - Their past music I agree but they’ve not put anything new out in awhile now.. but the last tour should’ve been the five of them. After her years of rambling that she ‘woke up not mad at anyone anymore’ .. humm.. All going on now is to much drama for me.. Peace out ✌️
The ability to create great music together with anyone is a greater relationship than most people will ever have. The vibrations of harmony melody and lyrics is very powerful when it is felt by our bodies. It’s like electrical currents that move within us in a very deep way. Even though Lindsey and Stevie could not hold on to a physical relationship together, they experienced their love through the music and as they sang together, with the drums beating behind them, they were making love to one another.
4.52 When someone you deeply and truly achingly love from the depths of your soul describes you as their "best friend" it hurts very very very very much. And Mick's eyes and facial expression are living proof of that.
Yeah, but Stevie was in love with Mick in the late 70's and he left her for one of her best friends. She has even said over the motr recent years that she could see her and Mick ending up together later in life and growing older together. I don't think she ever got over him, and if he wanted to be with her...well, she's single. It would only take one call. So who is breaking whose heart?
Yeah...Art, nature, maybe a cat, books, roof over head, enough to eat, good health, a place to call home and belong in, freedom.... Good man to love an optional but not essential "extra"...
Family. Close friends. People who deeply care about her as a person regardless of fame, beauty or talent. I certainly hope that when I’m that age I have more in my life than just a dog and a profession. It would be a pathetic end to a life. Very empty. Glittery, but empty. Like a hollow statue made of thin sheets of gold dressed in expensive finery.
AxelSituation well you just didn’t see her life played out in the media because she had her issues too She was married to a member still today remains the bass player they are working together as well ..... It’s great Lindsey is writing a book it will be a great read to finally know his feelings we have not ever heard
Stevie Nicks gives women like me who struggle to keep a man due to my creative edge, hope that we can still be happy female artists with or without a man. Thank you Stevie. ❤️
I love Fleetwood Mac!! 🥰 Truly one of the Greatest Bands Ever!! 😃 But it is very sad Lindsey is no longer in the band. He made that band what it is today. I still can't believe they fired him? He has Settlements now from Fleetwood Mac. I'm sure they gave him the $40,000,000 million dollars, he was sueing them for. But the band will never be the same now. 😕 Stevie and Lindney lived together for over 5 years. I always wanted them to reunite with one another. But Lindsay is now happily married, with three beautiful children. I'm happy he found true happiness. Stevie will always be alone, she seems very stubborn, and set in her ways. But she is a True Music Legend, along with Lindsey. Their songwriting gifts, and talent, made them one of the Greatest Bands Ever. Been a hugh fan now, for over 40 years. They both have millions $$$$$ now. And Stevie and Lindsay will continue to write, and compose beautiful songs for us, for many more years to follow. Plus they both have their own bands too, to create even more music. They both are Legands..in the Music World. I love them both. Keep on rocking!!! A true diehard fan. 💓 😃👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fleetwood Mac - pre Stevie and Lindsey on The Midnight Special is one of my favorite vids. Believe Me and Miles Away are beautiful. So many great songs, but Gypsy and You Make Loving Fun are phenomenal.
It is sad that they fired Lindsey; the band is not the same without him. Stevie has made multiple attempts to repair the relationship over the years, so whatever happened this past time must have been the final straw. The fact that the band backed Stevie up means Lindsey was probably the one out of line. I believe for a woman of Stevie's generation, it is difficult to have a stable relationship when you are as strong, independent, ambitious, and successful as she is. I think that was the major reason for her and Lindsey's breakup--he was jealous and tried to stifle her ambition, to try and keep her all to himself. But Stevie is a superstar, and thus she belongs to the whole world. No doubt the two could have been very happy together in another time, in another life.
Every one has an uncertain destiny, and no one is perfect, even great talented bands. At the end of the day, Stevie is quite happy as long as she has got her career still going. I respect her honesty and open mind, she is very inspirational to me, and I have learned a lot from what she has explained.
Ive listened to the many interviews, and frankly they must have been at eachothers throats, but somehow made stars shine with their music. Todays latest interviews reflect the "same old, same old" just without the obvious acrimony.
I pray that God's sweetest blessings will be with them all. I saw LB very recently and he is just a great, great artist and performer. I pray for Peace for all of them. They, and we all, need that. Jimmy Register..
Thanks for this upload, from a very old Fleetwood Mac fan ;) Though I recently caught my daughter, who's 20 playing Mirage, and Rumours when I came home from work early. This is a young woman who thinks music begins and ends at 50 Cent.
I think he is better off without them. His life is probably far more peaceful. The band brought him lots of fame and fortune but, I don’t think they were his only path to it. That man is so talented that I strongly believe he would have become a superstar with or without them.
Stevie was Lindsey's ultimate love... Lindsey was the most gifted musician Stevie has ever met and it's that love of music that has kept her in Lindsey's life... Stevie Nicks refers to her romance with Joe Walsh as the guy she would have given up her music for. Lindsey is a musical genius unequalled in our lifetimes. His marriage to Kristen and their children has provided him that love and acceptance that was never tied to producing the next number one hit. Lindsey found his soulmate.
I had read Joe Walsh broke up Stevie and Lindsey , did she date Joe? I watched a lot of interviews and Stevie said had she and Lindsey not made it in music .. (Fleetwood Mac) she would have married Lindsey and had a family w/him.
1besieged I can hear anger and spite in Stevie’s voice when she talks about Lindsey. I used to think they were soulmates who should’ve stayed together. I still do. If she still has that fire in her voice when she speaks of him all these years later, there’s still a lot of love there. Just creative differences that split them up. It’s hard to keep two creative geniuses together. They’d drive each other insane. So in a way, they were right in saving themselves creatively by splitting but the passion will always be there. In one of Lindsey’s interviews he said if Stevie ever needed him in that lover way, he would proposition her. I’m sure they’ve been friends with benefits over the years. They can’t have all that attraction for each other without a few one night stands in the mix over the decades. 😉 They are both very attractive people with a lot of creative passion.
I believe they will reunite again, and it will be bigger than anything. But they better hurry, because none of us are getting any younger. I'm just glad I got to see them twice.
That's quite of a privilege, it would be for me, but at that time I was only a little child fond of music, I love them though all the bad stuff they have been though.
Stevie needs to come down to earth and realize, she wouldn't be where she is if Lindsey wouldn't have carried her . He stated years ago , if stevie couldn't come .. he wasn't either .I believe she is still in Love with Lindsey and is living with past regrets.
Give me a Freakin break lady Stevie completely supported Lindsey's ass for nearly 5 years while he sat at home and played guitar no wonder he was so good at it!!!! She is the reason they had food on the table and a roof over their heads!!! How dare you belittle her contributions! You dont have to be a big Stevie Nicks fan to understand that but to totally dismiss her as an appendage to Buckingham is just hateful lies🤥🤨
Obviously all members of the band are very talented, but for me, the band revolves around Buckingham and Nicks - and as long as I can see them perform with their own bands, I am a happy camper.
It's so sad they can't see the bigger picture, because no matter how long ago this interview was they all sound like they all have a little regret , and it's obvious they adore each other and MRS nicks come life's to short with the way the unfolds it self in our lives Godspeed
Tears flow as I watch!! I get it...BUT, Stevie always belongs WITH LINDSAY as friends, life long... and soul mates, in my opinion!!! My heart hurts!! Stevie... STOP BEING SO IMPOSSIBLE!!
👍. Like others that have a strong mind and have seen what this can do to Family and can do to your self, I will not die a drug addict. Use your head. I also would like to say that I will always love Stevie and her BAND. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! 😘👍😘😘
I hope that who ever reads this is helping themselves. You don't need to go to Drs for help getting sinthetics, you just need to stand strong and help the ones you love. Losing loved ones to this awful stuff only makes me want to keep helping the ones I come across. It's sad when you have to see them go from this type of thing. Lend a hand and pay attention to the sighs of a family or friend that may just need you, after all.... When they are gone, you cannot help.. watch and learn. Hard lessons learned. Heartbroken Woman...
chemestry or not that was the seventies,, another time,, we all love the band and specialy ,, love stevie she is mt favorite singer,, xxx fleed wood mac forever
I love Fleetwood Mac but Stevie Nicks was the best female singer in this band bar none. And Stevie you have moved on and are absolutely fantastic.I love you.I agree there should be a Great Movie about this band.Beautiful extraordinary group of people...)0(
Mick and John are two very lucky people in the right place at the right time. Buckingham Nicks could have easily recruited their own rhythm section and would have had great success.
When they were young and the drugs it was going to go just as it did the only way it could under their circumstances But they got through it and all of them finally got it back as a whole group all clean sober and made it through the demons and got their lives as it should be but the reality is Stevie and Lindsey will always have these issue between because of the Love hate relationship between them that has to be very difficult perhaps we find it to be impossible for them to work together because of their feelings for each other Lindsey is married with a family and then this relationship with Stevie its just not good for him and his wife I’m sure There is a chemistry between Stevie and Lindsey that is very very difficult to continue to work together on the road as it should be after their emotional relationship interfere with their ability to work together But it’s no longer Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey I am going to remember them as they once were but no longer are but that’s just my own personal opinion Look for Lindsey’s book it will be a good one I heard he is writing
Let's face it Stevie Nicks is the ONE band member that REALLY put them on the map! She was out front on stage with beautiful witchy long black dresses singing and spinning around and had a very unique voice. She's also VERY beautiful. She overshadowed LINDSEY which PISSED him off! And when she went solo with the album Bella Donna which went to number 1 and also she made the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1981 which said Stevie Nicks is the QUEEN of Rock! That scared the band members because she didn't need them anymore. But she stayed with the band and had a solo career! Not easy.
lol ,dont forget who took her words ,spun his magic on it and he is a very talented man ,they have a chemical soul balence and thats why they fight ,they are both very tense and very genious in there craft, and theother band members who added there magic to the whole thing that is fleetwood mac!mend the chain!stevie ,bring lindsey home to the place he belongs ,maybe not in love but in musical world
When massive egos and talent get together there will always be fieworks, but the result is one of the best albums ever made in pop history, and certainly one of the greatest bands ever, sold out tour in 2019 says it all, and i can,t get a f****** ticket, stevie nicks is so damn sexy........
I grew up listening to and relishing Rumors in fact I performed Song Bird in high school. And in the late 80s early 90s I was in a band and we played at the Elbow Room on the Ft. Lauderdale FL strip and sang Dreams and Gold Dust Woman.
Stevie is hurt because Lindsey has children and a wife. Stevie has none of it in her life. That is why she is bitter about him. He moved on having a family.
Yeah and when Stevie didn't want to get married, he married an EXACT Stevie look a like! I think that says something. He's trying to re create that relationship
I don't believe there is one single soulmate for everyone. Personally, I think Stevie is a soulmate to Lindsey. She's a musical soulmate. They make great music together and I believe they care very deeply about one another. I think that Lindsey's wife is also a soulmate of sorts. She gave him children, a family, the balanced life he's always wanted and needed. He's happier than he's ever been and that is in large part due to her. :)
I finally found a few photos online to see Lindsey's wife , the first thing that stood out, she had the cheekbones like Stevie and blonde hair. I have this feeling that Mick Fleetwood really loved Stevie very very deeply, yet Stevie admits had the band failed, she would have married Lindsey and had a family.
Say an interview with Tom Petty where he discussed working with Stevie on some stuff. he was having issues with it and asked Lindsey. He said Lindsey suggested stuff that was perfect for Stevie. He praised Lindsey and thought it6 was genius the way he could get the best of out Stevie.
Amazing how many women it seems got everything they asked for and found themselves mid-life feeling unhappy, whilst the men broadly speaking seem happier. Life is strange.
love them, they are honest and stick together while still there is differences but more so great personalities and music that's, unique! Beautiful people. I hope always for them all, happiness. I'm thankful.
What I find so disingenuous is how they are toying with Lindsey (talking out their ass) by saying that they could see them "burying the hatchet" and see their way clear to playing together again. Then they turn around not even a month or so later and Mick makes a retraction about that. Something to the effect of "It would never work out." What the hell was that?! Were they having some momentary cognitive dissonance and noticing how their shows weren't selling out as they once had when he was in the band? Then they say "Nope, not gonna happen!"
It's crazy to hear that they are not friends, the way they look at each other, still, while performing together. I guess a soul mate goes so much deeper than anything we, mere mortals, understand. Life, energy, support, love? What is it all really? Really? What?
They need to be trapped for a couple months on a desert island. Just them too. Do them both amazing amounts of good. Or, it will kill them both. Either way, it will end.
Mick's a very sweet man, there's something magical there... He's like a loving father, Jesus and Santa Claus, all rolled into one. I wonder how key HE was, to the fact this band kept coming back together, after so many estrangements. I think Mick was the North star, who kept Fleetwood Mac together.
Fleetwood Mac would have never reached the heights it did without Stevie~not saying that everyone else was not as talented but with her they went to the top and for that "they should be ever so thankful"which all need to give her more credit
I was thrown into a homeless re-hab place & I was brought up upper middle class with having some very high spirits's in my life.. I took my recovery very serious & 4 years clean....TY! Next !
I love their talent, but why does Stevie always seem so bitter in her answers? She doesn't appear so fulfilled at all, rather always frustrated, nearly angry, snapping at the interviewers for some reason, most if not all of her answers.
