This is an AWESOME live version of ~ I'm So Afraid (one of my faves)!! This is from Fleetwood Mac's Pittsburgh, PA ~ March 1, 2009 concert. This was their very first show of this tour!! No offense to the other band members because they were all great, but (in my opinion) Lindsey stole the show. He was AWESOME!!
This performance was one of the major highlights of this night for me!! In my opinion, this is one of the best live versions ever done of this song!! Check out his AMAZING guitar solo!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
I am REALLY thrilled to be able to post clips from this particular show since I was actually at this one!! I was sitting by myself in the third row on the floor (on Lindsey's side of the stage)!! So I had a perfect view of my idol the entire night!!

Lindsey is a American treasure that will probably never be appreciated fully until he is gone. Brilliant lyricist and composer, soulful singer who crosses genres effortlessly, perhaps the most underrated guitarist?. Best of all: He overcame his demons, has his own life, works only when he wants, and has never sold out.

Lindsey is NEVER in the mainstream music press's Top lists. I don't think he even made the Rolling Stone Top 100 Guitarists, though Springsteen did. Springsteen? Songwriter, sure. Guitar player? Hell no. Viva Lindsey.

I have been a fan of 32 years, and this song ALWAYS blows me away. Seeing all the different performances through the years, Sir Lindsey and Fleetwood Mac has NEVER once let me, or the fans down. Only thing I do miss is Christie McVie, and her voice. My wife looks exactly like Christie in 1982 when I met my wife in 2001. And we are both huge Fleetwood Mac fans. Thank you for this incredible video of Lindsey at his best.

That’s Neale Heywood on rhythm guitar - an English musician. Before being brought to play live with Fleetwood Mac, he played in Lyndsey’s band when Lyndsey left FM in 1987. You can see a young Neale on the RU-vid video for ‘Don’t Look Down’, amongst others.

@@AECEntertainment Ah interesting. I know Lindsey has huge respect for Neale’s musical talents, and similarly with Brett Tuggle who also plays with Lyndsey and Fleetwood Mac. I just can’t enjoy FM without Lindsey - there’s a certain mesmerising tension lacking. And I also feel pretty cross with Stevie for engineering Lyndsey’s departure and getting two of her buddies into FM to replace him. Ah well, at least I can enjoy Lindsey’s solo career.

semi cool story - a buddy and myself went to this concert and I was interviewed by a local PGH news station. They asked what song I was looking forward to hearing and I went on a 5 minute rant about I’m so afraid ( they didn’t use the clip ) :/
