I saw Fleetwood Mac in Greensboro NC in 1972. The Eagles were also performing that evening. Best concert I have ever been to. Lol, Joints were being passed throughout the Coliseum, nothing said. Those were the days of great musical talent. I'm 70 now and reflect back to those days often. Keep rocking Fleetwood Mac but I miss Lindsey.
We just saw Lindsey Buckingham live 3 nights ago here in Charlotte NC, and he killed it. Absolutely fabulous show. Lindsey Buckingham was the cornerstone of this band, no matter what anyone says. He added the fire, the tension, the passion, the angst. It's the band's loss. They need him, but from what I saw Sunday night...he didn't need them.
Stevie and Fleetwood have helped me get through alot in my life. I'm 25 and was raised on the best music ever, my parents gave me that one gift that I can never thank them enough for. Eventually I became a huge fan girl, of stevie in general but Fleetwood as well. I saw them live here in Washington years ago, and I hope and pray I get to see them again. I'm going through a breakup with a man i was with for 8 years, and it took me all this time to really see it for what it was... a toxic manipulated soul sucking 8 year loss. Everytime i start believing he's actually sorry, and I miss his uncomfortable comfort... I turn on Fleetwood mac and remind myself just who I am. "Back to the gypsy that I was" So I'm back to the velvet underground Back to the floor that I love To a room with some lace and paper flowers Back to the gypsy that I was To the gypsy that I was And it all comes down to you Well, you know that it does, well Lightning strikes maybe once, maybe twice Oh and it lights up the night And you see you're a gypsy You see you're a gypsy To the gypsy That remains Her face says freedom With a little fear I have no fear I have only love And if I was a child And the child was enough Enough for me to love Enough to love She is dancing away from you now She was just a wish She was just a wish And her memory is all that is left for you now.... Anyone in an emotionally abusive relationship, remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel ONLY if you are strong enough to make the decision to end it. If you make a decision like that, & you were strong enough... its probably the right one.
Stevie's "Landslide" kept me from committing suicide, so I feel you. I tattooed "Landslide - March 8, 2015" (the date I saw them in concert) on my right wrist so I always look at it. It keeps me going...
Good for you that you're finally out- it is difficult for people who have never experienced a toxic personality (narcissist, socio path, psych path etc) to understand how it can happen. It always happens to healthy, trusting, giving and sane people. Whether or not they ever trust again is determined by a lot of things - probably the biggest most important one being no contact with the X. Even the slightest hint of weakness and they have their foot in the door, at the very least to keep it (their options) open. Another Stevie song on your side is "Smile at You".
And I can't listen to FM, especially with my favorite singer songwriter musician performer & wonderful guy Neil Finn. I hope Lindsey gets back together with FM so Neil doesn't.
The greatest band that ever lived just brought tears in my eyes took my wife to concert for birthday 2006 she loved them her favorite song was tusk She passed away in 2013 every time I hear their song I cry for her just like now To my wife Candy 😘❤️🌺Love John
Very sorry for your loss. No words can ease the pain but music brings us back to times shared in love and harmony. Maybe there’s strength in remembering... I sincerely hope so.
I will always love Fleetwood Mac. First record I ever owned and still have is the double album Fleetwood Mac Live. Thank you to my brother for giving me the gift of Music at Christmas that year. Played it non stop.
Will always love Fleetwood Mac .I watched Lindsay's performance on Jimmy Kimmel and thought it was the same as this.Stevie seems a little lost without Lindsay and I thought same about Lindsay.I think what we r really missing is the magic between these two.Whatever happened ,I don't know Lindsay has never defended himself. I wish them the best of luck and hope that we will get to see that magic again.
If you did or did not like this new Mac..what I found quite refreshing was all the young people in that audience clearly enjoying it and so excited that they got tickets for the tour.
I was at this tour in Melbourne Australia and had the pleasure of meeting Mick Fleetwood in a hotel. He is a humble and generous man. I will never forget this tour. It was special to me personally. Saw a number of Fleetwood Mac members in the hotel a truly magical experience.
mmmmmmmm I love this band but Lindsey really always added such a magic with his brilliant guitar fills and unique voice. it's really unfortunate that someone fired him :/
Give them some slack!! These are some of the most heartwarming honest and passionate people in the music business. They all walked the edges of the stage like a commando at the front for the last 40+ years. Stevie Nicks is nearly 70 years old, that's the most beautiful 70 yr old I've ever seen. And Mike and Neil are both superb performers and you can just tell that they feel like they belong. It's the same americana, folkish, inner termoil love songs that they played with their bands. When I first saw this I thought ''wow twice the personnel, half the sound'' but you gotta look at the whole picture here. I'd love to see them live after watching both Ellen performances!
Robin Hage give me a break.. at this stage of their life why would they want to replace the most valuable player in the band Lindsey Buckingham.. ...they had to bring in to guys to replace him... Linseys guitar playing and voice are so unique ..and it’s him and Stevie together they create electricity and excitement... it’s over now...
Fleetwood Mac has always been my favorite group 4 yrs there harmony is great and Stevie Nicks what can I say her voice never changes keep singing Stevie
The woman is 70 years old and counting people give her a freakin break. I think they sound phenomenal for all being lifelong rock stars in their 60’s & 70’s... Fleetwood Mac is timeless, if Lindsey didn’t want to be apart of this tour then as disappointing as that is, IT IS WHAT IT IS. Obviously any fan would prefer him to be there. But any true Mac fan would also be thrilled that they worked in a couple of talented additions and kept it going... at this point they don’t have time on their side. If they were going to tour it needed to happen NOW and they couldn’t wait around for one difficult member. A member who has seemingly always been the difficult one of the group. I’m 25 years old, Fleetwood Mac is my all time favorite band and Stevie Nicks is my all time favorite musician. I’m so pumped to go see them live in March and will remember it for as long as I live. I would give anything to see them in their prime years ago, but that’s not possible so this will do. All this judgmental negativity is so pointless... Pretty soon we won’t even have a Fleetwood Mac at all so just sit back and enjoy the gypsies that remain...
Cote DeRota - Well said! I was a teenager when they became famous, and I share your love for the group and especially for Stevie. She still takes my breath away with her grace, beauty of spirit and soul, incredible voice, and authentic talent.
Lindsey planned to go on tour with them. He was ignored by his band members. He found out from the band’s manager that because of Stevie, he was no longer in the band.
She doesn't deserve a break...she shut Lindsey out and encouraged the band to sue him. Sorry, Stevie, we loved you for decades...you no longer deserve the drama queen status.
Be grateful that there is still an incarnation of this classic act. In 5 to 10 years, the greater likelihood is that it will be impossible. The last hurrah can't be far away. Good luck to them all, past and present.
With all very much due respect...Thank you for the music...Thanks for the in the day memories...and most of all for your so very hard earned, dedicated love of music...that gifted us all....
@Wayne Bishop I may be not a Fan of Stevie these Days anymore BUT she is 70 Years old and she aged very well (with a little help). She looks very good and she is not ugly.
Fleetwood Mac is wonderful! Whenever I hear one of their songs on the radio, I keep thinking how cool it will be to hear Mike Campbell playing those great guitar riffs! Hope you all have a great tour!
"Lighting strikes. Maybe once, maybe twice" Lindsey singing at the end. And then his famous pluck. BIG DIFFERENCE. I love Fleetwood Mac but there is an element missing. And Christine, Stevie and Lindseys vocals together are incredibly recognizable. Not the same. lol Stevie I love you.
They end the song just at the moment Lindsey would go into his beautiful guitar solo ending .....the song the way it was....in all it’s glory. What a shame. Will never be the same without him.
Duneedon I’m only fourteen I grew up listening to them through my mum and I recently got back into their music for nostalgia now I listen day in day out.But my mum tells me there was a really good one who left because of drugs in the group
Hey, that's cool -- yeah, if you get the chance, definitely go see them. The new guys in the band (Finn & Campbell) are class acts, and have made their own names for themselves in music, for sure.
Neil's better than FM imo (esp songwriting). I hope FM gets back with Lindsey too, so those of us who aren't FM/Nicks fans can listen to Neil playing his music that we love again.
When I heard him playing the guitar on songs like Never Going Back Again or live versions of Big Love I actually had thought it was two guitars until I saw the videos.
Robert Miller - Stevie is the Queen of Rock, but she doesn’t sound as good as ever IMO. Compare her vocals in the late ‘70s, or even as recently as The Dance, and then to this fiasco.
I loved Lindsey, but how would have he made this version any better? This song and version is perfect! What is there not to like. Christine and Stevie never looked better!!! I've never seen a better show person then Stevie!!! Does anyone know what year this video was recorded?
I love Fleetwood Mac, I was a little boy first time when a listen Big Love and then full albumTango In The Night, today 30 years after...they are fabulous. Greetings from Perú
How I wish I could go back to 1976 and sit on the green grass with Fleetwood Mack playing on the big stage ... LIFE... What a shame we grow old and our bodies give into AGE!
You mean the Billy Burnette/Rick Vito lineup that the band completely ignores and pretends never existed! After just one new album and two tours with that lineup, both Stevie and Christine bailed on the band, only to come back with Lindsey a few years later.
Neil Finn & Mike Campbell are outstanding musicians and songwriters in their own right. The possibilities are endless but from this performance, Stevie Nicks is done.
I really loved the seductive low tones Stevie. You’ve won me ❤️ and congratulations to the new FM and friends. I’m certain the live equipment used on tours would accelerate the sound. 👏👏 As for Neil, man you’ve got edge 👌
I've liked everything that I've heard Neil Finn sing on, from Split Enz and Crowded House to his solo records. And now he's helping to front Fleetwood Mac!
Well done Neil (my favorite singer/songwriter/musician/performer/most generous to his fans/general good guy) but I don't ever want to hear him with FM/Nicks.
