We love our Fleetwood RV! It was great sharing the do's and dont's and allowing people to learn from our mistakes so they don't have to make the same ones we did when starting out :) Safe travels!

Hi Charity, nice to see you on the @Fleetwood site. I also love my Fleetwood RV. It's the '21 Bounder 35K. Regarding the electrical: you mentioned using the surge suppressor in addition to the internal protection given in the transfer switch. I've gone one further and run an EMS from Progressive Industries (or EPO if you're using Hughes) in order to protect the electronics in the coach. I also run a pressure regulator and an external water filter in addition to the whole house filter provided. It protects the internal plumbing and makes the whole house filter last a little longer. We've run into situations where we get a grey tank smell if I leave that valve open so I keep it closed and empty it once a day or every other day. I also use it to rinse the sewer hose after dumping the black tank on travel days. Great info and I'm glad Fleetwood gave you this chance to share your information.

Nice guide. We keep the gray and black values closed and yes, we may dump daily but I like the ability to flush the sewer hose if I do dump the black tank.
