I do like the lore and theme of their rules. But I have the feeling that actually getting and keeping noble deed points is going to be a bit too hard. Especially considering that it means severely risking your heroes lives since most aren't mages. Sure attacking and killing some guys and getting those points is fun and all. Till that hero gets 1 shot and now you don't get to spend them. that. And some of the units seem overpriced considering the extreme loss of a lot of their damage capabilities. (Looking at the zombie dragon and terrorgheist, as well as the horrors to a degree.) I do like that some of the heroes are cheaper. (Archregent now costs less than old ghoul king did.) but there aren't many spells in their lore so now casting is gonna be tough for FEC. I can see some things are gonna be pretty good. And while I generally see most units are stronger at their absolute base than they used to be. They have a far lower potential height. The Charnel throne used to be amazing and is now all but useless. But the chalice can now move which has buffed it a lot. You can now bring back more than 5 models total a turn. (muster being a heroic was horrible.) Overall I'd say the army was buffed. But we can no longer whip out 72 wounds from a single terrorghest king. Something which could swing an entire battle. Which is also a massive nerf.

would you recommend this box to someone new to the hobby? They look amazing and want to get painting them.

I'm glad they've finally given the FEC the update they deserve. One of the better factions in AoS concept wise, and now they have the minis to match. EDIT: Removing the Underworlds warband is just odd. Other warbands have remained in their respective Battletomes. As for what's next, I'm hoping there are some suitably chaotic dwarves in the AoS4 starter. And I'm wondering if they'll use the current WarComm advent previews to tease them.

Great review video, very much looking forward to getting this box, the new models are awesome, and now just waiting for Ushoran and the next dawnbringer book!
