I never knew about this freaking POWERHOUSE SUPERSTAR until today! She popped up doing Uptown Funk, and I craved more!! What AMAZING performances. If I didn't know she was a contestant, I'd swear she was a guest star at each show. A class act. I just read she didn't win - who the hell did the voting??? I'd pay to see her again and again!!! Bravo Miss East, you'd have my vote every time!!
I remember when she performed Uptown Funk, it literally helped that song blow up in the UK. Prior to that, it was starting to get popular in America but after her performance, I remember it shot straight up the charts in the UK and stayed there all over.

It's as if some fire inside of her doesn't allow her to stretch her voice to her full potential. It's as if her voice is burning. Amazing voice, love it. Her performances were so stunning that I couldn't peel my eyes off of her. Just wow.
I was not a fan of her until she was in judges house and after judges house i was rooting for her to win. Still think she deserved the win a lot more than ben haenow :)

Because Ben Haenow had a sob story. Her not winning Xfactor is what officially confirmed the whole thing was a farce not a show about talent. There’s also a lot of contestants who have come forward in the wake of the BLM movement and spoken about their experiences on the Xfactor and just after how they were treated as and told to play into “stereotypes” and not treated right. It’s true Xfactor wants/wanted “popstars” which whether consciously or not is code for “white.” And as result they pretty much manufactured the same type of winners and then get surprised they never get anywhere. And as a result the the POC didn’t get the respect and care they needed to flourish. Even though they are often the most talented. And it’s not limited to black contestants 4th Impact- the girl group from the Phillippines had the best voices and talent on that season. They also had the most viewed audition on RU-vid but Louisa Johnson was pushed and viewed as the “ideal” and she won. And surprise she only had one hit and that was a guest vocal on someone else’s record.

There was a time youngsters, we heard a song on the radio and the DJ always came in at the end so if you had a recording device with your radio it still sounded cheesy and FU'd up. Then you had to get in your car drive to the MUSIC. STORE (yes we had those) buy the single or the LP and those mp4s were $12 in 1965. The Moody Blues Days a future past was $20 because it was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and it was a experiment to tell you the truth that really got Justin Hayward and the rest of them flying for the rest of their lives. Mercury records wanted to show people what Stereophonics sounded like so they would be willing to spend a few more dollars on a stereo record as opposed to a mono so they asked The Moody Blues to write something that they could have a company with the symphony so that all walks of life would like it and my dad was the one who wore it was $27 because he bought it the minute it came out and he bought a Master Copy for another $50. Today you can just download it off the computer you don't have to go any place and the recording artist not making any money nor their labels sadly enough. That's what covid really killed people like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. So back to this lady she is a performer and she is a big moneymaker and you know that Simon didn't waste any time signing her she may have been signed even before the last show

These singing shows are a joke. 1) After the 2nd Uptown Funk performance, she should've been locked in to win. 2) The people they kick off generally make it bigger than the actual winners.
Not the greatest voice, but a great performer. She was pitchy most of the time and I felt that she never reached her full potential in her range. I believe she should of won even though, because of her over all performances she always gave it her more. Than 100 percent.

Today is when I first got acquainted with this artist, after watching America's Got Talent then wanting to identify the tune the Brass MOS played on it (Sax). It sounded familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I had heard it before. Anyway, wow! What a phenomenon she really is! Looks like Simon has known and enjoyed her singing and dancing for a while.
I think she should have won instead of Ben Haenow. Arena audition not good. She didn't break out until Judge's House. 2nd performance not good. She got better and better. Plus she's SMOKIN' HOT!!
