Hi Melo. Thanks for the time you spend making such cool videos! But actually we all have a question that concerns us all. How the hell do you make such awesome sample packs? 😁 We need a "How to make a sample pack in Melo style"! Greetings from Switzerland!
Another cool feature that might get overlooked. In the software version, you can edit and create your own effect envelopes using the grid editor. Then you can save them and import them into the standalone plugin. Pretty amazing plugin! I’m lovin it
So I have a question, would a combo of flex beat and flavour pro be very similar sounding too the sp404? I'm kinda new to the MPC and want that mangled sound - I just have enough learning as is with the MPC :D although in future I will surely get a sp404 as well
OK.....is flex beat "player" a lite version or is it a full version on mpc? i hope it isn't the full version . cause if it is then i just wasted my money on buying it from the website
dunno. these type of effects always sound useless to me. yeah, sometimes but rarely sometimes you can get something out of it, but usually is just bleh. maybe if applied only to drums and not the entire track, yeah maybe. dunno. i always feel it needs additional hands on editing, like being really precise when and how to apply it… dunno, maybe its just me.
I just bought it and don’t see how to get it onto my standalone. Is the standalone version a separate purchase?! It’s not showing up in my inmusic account. Ugh
You can connect a midi controller like the midi fighter twister or mpd218(pad controller) and have flex beat send though those pads on the controller as each fx instead on the screen...someone in my Facebook group discovered this...
Go to CHANNEL MIXER, choose submix 1 and place the Flex beat in Insert 1. Route the Drum Program output to submix 1. Connect your midi controller and go to MIDI CONTROL / MIDI LEARN. Choose SOurce/ Submix 1 and then Target / Pad Hold 1-16. The mapping is not global. It will only be saved in the project
Not going to lie I prefer when artist create the flips this is ok and all but it’s like another ai doing it for you. I remember when I heard the first fake scratch on a keyboard it was embarrassing to use lol coming from a (turntablist) but I get it. Myself I try to stay clear of ai or things that do the “style” things for you. Not a hater I just am sitting back watching all the stuff in arts just being done for people in the push of a button an wonder when will we literally have nothing humanized and creative left. Again not hating it’s a cool tool but I’d prefer to create the parts myself
That's a great set up with the desk and having the pull out drawer for the record player. Thanks for all your videos. I really need to spend much more time with my MPC Live 2 to get better at beat making.
Thanks for this little overview of Flexbeat. Seems interesting. I've made upgrade with new FX, seems to be real fun too. Take Care. And I'v got a little question, when you find a cool effect in flex beat on one of your track, can we record it ? or is it only for live performance. Thanks for your answer, if you've got a little time to write it. unless you'll talk about it in a next vid. :^)
Flex beat is SO DOPE. It’s really helpful for me cause I am learning how to do more deep house and it really helps with creating interesting variations I don’t have the skill set to make myself yet.
I love that you seem like a genuinely nice guy, having a great time. Can't beat that sir, thank you!! Also thank u for clearing up my confusion about flex beat
Malo, engaging video as always! Quick question, I have the Key 61 and have been thinking about an MPC One or Live 2 for a more portable option. I’m leaning towards the One because the additional buttons seem like they make the workflow much quicker. You mentioned this in one of your other videos yet you still seem to primarily use the Live 2. Any reason for this?
Grate question, if you already have a Keys 61 and you want to be completely portable I would lean towards the MPC LIVE 2 due to the battery which makes it 100% portable without having to be plugged into the outlet. Battery is really good and also been able to have the flexibility with the six outputs makes me choose the LIVE over the ONE any day. Now, if you don’t mind being plugged into an outlet and don’t need the extra outputs, I would recommend the ONE+ since it is a lot cheaper and the extra buttons are a plus but don’t think they ate a deal breaker not having them
I’ve had issues with mine not telling me there’s an update, even after clicking on Check For Updates. I logged into the Akai website and went to downloads and got the update manually.
Good news, Jesus Christ died for our sins and payed a sin debt that we can never pay ourselves. Accept the free gift of salvation and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and save you.
Amen and he also inspired Akai to create the mpc live 2 for hiphop and music lovers. Then gave us flex beat to streamline freakin out your music compositions 🙏🏿
Idk wth they didn't release this straight to standalone to begin with. Its not very practical for desktop. Idk about Air and the way the approach business is a bit outlandish. 🤷 I have to buy it twice if I want on pc and standalone?! Come on!
