UPDATE: This lasted about 3 weeks, it doesn’t help that the bike was in the humid garage but the adhesive starts to drip off the gray tape, it got on the frame and other areas. pretty strange EDIT: I ended up JB welding the tank and it works perfect again
I tried that today… It will not hold on plastic, once that gas hits it… Why in the hell would a company put a plastic gas tank on a car… Literally no different than a gas tank you can get out of a store. After watching a guys video using a soldering tool, I went and got my soldering tool to melt the plastic back closed after cleaning the surface and stopping the leak from flowing. It was absolutely genius. I then melted some scrap plastic into the gas that field everything up and I sanded down the entire area after it cooled off and that’s that.
so I have a question. I have dry rotted cracks on my go kart tires which leak air through them, since they still have lots of rubber left to wear down I'm going to try and save them. bought a can of flex seal, thinking of taking tires off rims, coat the inside of tires w it,let it cure properly, then see if it will hold air. thinking it should. What's your guys opinion? do u think it will hold? has anyone ever tried this. the cracks aren't too dramatic, but enough to not allow air to hold. hope someone has tried this before or knows if it will.thanks for reading this btw
No lie. All that Flexi seal shit they sell is incredible. Next time a plumber tells you the price bc of labor wrap that copper pipe in front of him that is leaking and there and tell him to take a hike. There won’t be a drip !
I wrote a letter to Flex Tape about a small leak in the bottom of my De-greasing Tank to wash parts here in my shop on the farm. The cleaning solvent I use, in the tank, is Diesel Fuel. They said the fuel will eventually work through the glue on the tape and start to leak again. They do not recommend this type repair. Dylon made this repair in July 2018, it is now April 2019, is the repair still holding?
..by the way is this flex tape is also applicable to plastic gasoline tank like plastic fuel of my honda xr200r bcoz there is a crack causing fuel to leak
Pikachu can be Male or female depending upon which gender of the pokemon you catch, otherwise there would be no Pichu, I know I'm an otaku... Deal with it
@@underground16562 *steel not stihl that's a chainsaw brand, sorry for feeling the need to correct this comment, I'm not the grammar police, I mean no disrespect and I hope you don't take it as such, by the way I think you're solder idea is a great idea, as I said no disrespect typos can happen to the best of us 😄👍
@@kriegthepsycho2954 gold is a mineral ore, however it is classified on the periodic table as a transition metal, so yes gold is a metal, no disrespect but if you don't believe me just Google "is gold a metal?", once again no disrespect meant by this comment
I have a 2 stroke dirtbike that the tank keeps cracking on it and in the middle of english class i thought fles tape. But i wasnt sure if the gas will eat away the tape so i looked it up and it brought me here. Ghetto fix it is. The gas tank cracked 4 times and i patched it 4 times with a plastic welder and it cracked again. Its been a month since the last patch so im pretty sure that gas tank if f*cked
Ok I know I'm very late to be replying to this comment but as an otaku, I had to correct you on this, if you look it up on Google the Pikachu from the anime has been confirmed by the creator as male, however post-anime there was created a way to tell the difference between male and female, the difference being a notch in the tail of the female, once again I know I'm very late to this post and I mean absolutely no disrespect by my reply just wanted to set things straight, as anime culture is a passion of mine 😁✌
Aluminum is metal, as is steel, iron, titanium, etc. Metal is not an element it is a classification of these elements, no prob tho just a common mistake, I've made the same mistake myself in the past before I got more educated on the matter, and I know I'm very late to this post, just wanted to make sure nobody read this and thought it was true, aluminum is classified as a post-transition metal, once again I mean no ill will by my reply to this comment
