thanks for the thorough demo @priyonjoni!! Hope you keep collaborating with Pioneer DJ, I just got a FLX10, and your vids have been a big factor in purchasing this controller! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!
I feel like the other reviewers didn’t get or understand a lot of the capabilities that are better discussed in this video. Pioneer might need to get a better reviewer’s guide for their PR/influencer program.
I love how the rekordbox version of stems uses 3 stems instead of 4. like whats the point of isolating the bass, its like the same thing as the bass eq knob right? also the fact that this controller is compatible on both sofwares is a big big big W!!!
Great work my brotha, RESPECT!!! I need your opinion on a circumstance I’m trying to figure out. If you had your choice would you prefer to dj om DJM-S11 and (2) CDJ-3000’s or DDJ-FLX10? I’m choosing these two since they both support both DJ softwares. I’m trying to figure out if to buy the SJ11 or the DDJ FLX10. I already have CDJ-3000’s. Basically a mixer or a controller? Your opinion matters my brotha
Where has the mid tier gear gone. I want a Pioneer experience and use DVS. Yet there is no mid tier Option that brings the essentials and offers external inputs. Also not a single 2 channel controller seems to be offering ext in and DVS support. Denon prime prices are also going through the roof. It's becoming ridiculous. Seriously. What are the best options for dvs if I want a pioneer mixer with the Pioneer effects rack I know for decades?
Hello. Would you be able to show how to use Flx10 with Serato and DMX lighting together. I know you mentioned previously that there was a way to use them both
Great info. I don't have the auto button on my lights computer screen. It only shows Manuel button. Is there a setting to include the auto button? Also my jog wheels don't change color on stem buttons. Lastly the know to load songs auto plays a loaded song. Sometimes it don't sometimes it does. Are there settings? Thank you for the help bro.
Depends if you want club layout or battle style. Can’t really compare them as they’re in 2 very different classes. I’ve pre-ordered the FLX-10, but it’s all down to what you want to get out of the controller.
Wow 😮I have the Rev 7 since last year and I thought 💭 that’s it for controllers and I now seeing this what to do now? The one thing I which the Rev 7 could do is the stems to sound cleaner and the MIDI is mixed up on the pads.
Hy and thx for the video! "Is it also possible with Serato to place the Instant Doubles on Deck 1 and 3, as you show in the video at 10:30? Whatever I try, I can't manage to do it with Serato. Also, I can't find an option in the settings to switch the crossfader to 1-3. Please help me :-) Thanks"
Many thanks for the video! Are the stems 'special' audio files or can vocal/instr/drums be isolated from any 'normal' mp3 song? Because it sounds so clean when you separate the voice for example, sounds clean. I tried soft. pluginsd vocal removers and sound much more 'dirty' (drums sounds like filtered etc)....and, if the stems function requires 'special' audio files songs, where we can get them?? Many thanks!!
Stem separation does not require special audio files. They are done using regular audio files. While this demo was done mostly using rekordbox, I remind that this controller also works with Serato. You can try either software to see which stem separation algorithm works for you!
It's the first to have it EQ knob for parts volume control for Serato, specifically. There's no product (that supports Serato) that allowed this prior. And there's no way to map it on existing gear.
Same as they were, its still runs on a Potato really but using Stems likes more RAM. Example being i messed about running it on a super slimmed down version of Windows 10 loaded on a Lenovo Thinkpad. 2 Cores, 4 GB Ram on SSD. It runs with 2 Decks and Stems which is impressive AF in my opinion but adding something onto Deck 3 as well with Stems it kinda just laughs LOL :)
I was wondering @priyonJoni if Pioneer will be coming out with a stem-based controller to replace the DDJ 800. If they are please let me know or I will be looking forward to your demo of it. I do love the FLX-10 but it is a bit pricy.
Thanks Joni for the video! But don't you think that for an embellishment of the DDJ-1000, $500 more expensive is too much? In the end it's just a controller... Thanks!!!
I struggle find the solution and probably I’m not reaching enough but can you tell me if there really are new music formats to ply stem that are heavier than casual mp format? Will I be able to use my mp3 tracks for example to separate stems ?
