When excavating to expose an underground drainage pipe for repair or redirection, you can often find that the existing pipe has previously been encased in concrete. This can cause a huge amount of work for the contractor who will need to chip away that concrete to expose a sufficient amount of external pipe surface to connect it to a new length of pipe using a traditional flexible coupling.
The Flexseal Icon (internal connection) Pushfit coupling can be used as an alternative to the traditional external coupling, which allows the user cut through a section of the concrete and pipe and connect the two pipes together using the internal surface areas.
