*Seems like a good solar **Generater.Systems** . I have not had to put it to the test yet in a situation without power but it has seemed to operate fine so far.*

Yes, but you do have to be careful in freezing Temps. They can discharge (ie power things) in freezing weather because they self heat during discharge, but you can't charge them if the battery core temp is below freezing since it could damage the cells. Do you do need to take some precautions to keep them somewhat insulated in freezing temps.

Thanks for the video! I'm currently feeding my Jackery Explorer 500 and 1500 with my four 80 watt 12v panels on the roof of my house. The Flexsolar looks like an interesting possible addition to my energy needs!

Don't sweat the leg or grommet less issue, via glass half full, you use the "Bungie Cords" of diffident sizes to hang or mount. owning this says you are resourceful person anyway. Oh and waterproofing back panel can be slightly improved with some plastic and Velcro and or some moisture displacement spray. Good review & thanks for sharing 👍

The Jackery 300 has the 60w USB-C PD charging. It can be charged to 80% in 2hrs using both inputs according to their website, that would be great on a day that has a lot of overcast ensuring you still get mostly fully charged fast. I wish they included legs and lost that really cheap charge controller to keep it the same price. Adjustable legs would be awesome.

Yeah, agreed - I'd trade the cheap charge controller for a decent set of leg stands for sure! Also, I hadn't been aware that Jackery had updated the 300 to include the 60w PD charging, so I appreciate that info as well. Seems they still haven't updated the E1000 with that for some odd reason, since most of their competitors are now offering this feature.

Is there some way to connect thus to an mc4 connector on a solar generator?
@ad6268

only the jackery 300 in the jackery line-up has 60W USB-C PD charger input. The 1500/2000W Jackery's have car charger input ports. Not sure how to go from USB PD Charger output on the FlexSolar to the car charger input on the Jackery 1500/2000, any ideas?

Curious, with all those connectors, can they connect to a ecoflow DELTA 2 1800W , to help charge faster? Also, I have a sewing machine 115/125 V , 50/60 Hz, I'm not sure of the Wh, is it safe to use this on this Ecoflow? (I don't use or need a microwave, lol, but I'd love to sew while camping). thank you in advance for your help.

Has the flex solar continued to perform after 5 months? I'm interested in getting this for my hackery 300 (which does have the bidirectional 60w pd port) I'm using this setup for E-bikepacking with my himiway cruiser. And am I correct in being able to use the panel to more quickly charge my hackery via both the standard charging port plus the old pirtoff of the same panel? I'm estimating that it will take the 300 near 2.5 charges (w/o) using passthrough to fully charge my ebike. Thanks. And thank you for the reviews. Critical for poor folks in researching this equipt.

I don't understand why you don't get full wattage from the panel without using the PD port. Is that because the unit you are charging limits the solar input?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors 2 года назад
Yeah, it's a bit of a mystery to me as well, to be honest. The Oupes 600 I tested it with should have a max DC input of 100W, so since I was only getting 85W, that limit should not have been a factor - especially since the unit was only at 85% charge (so should not have been throttling down yet). I may have to do some additional testing with other units (now that I have some!) to see if I can figure out what's actually going on.

Any idea if this trick would work on the vtoman jump unit you reviewed recently?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors 2 года назад
Pretty sure the PD100 port on the Jump 1000 is output only, so no.

I have built a DIY portable power station and would like to add a 60w, bi-directional, Type C power delivery port. The unit I built has a 12v, 100ah, LiFePO4 battery. Do you know of a source for component level parts where I could purchase a 60w PD port?

Can the panels be chained or connected in series or parallel?
@ReeWrayOutdoors
@ReeWrayOutdoors Год назад
Yes - for series, you'd probably want to go with an Anderson to MC4 adapter cable: amzn.to/3UjucVO For Parallel, you'd probably just get an Anderson parallel adaptor cable like this: amzn.to/3FeSzQc Hope that helps!
