Thanks for your video and for the info in the comment section below. Just contacted LG support, now I wait for their response. Mine is also flickering like crazy, also tried sooo many things to fix it, so far without any success. Hopefully I get a repair or replacement which fully resolves this issue.

Monitor is G-sync compatible but if u using it, most games loading screen and games have flickering issue. In may case when turn off G-sync, no more flickering but it's not right to play like this on very expansive monitor. I had the same issue with Acer Predator 27" 165Hz monitor with g-sync module inside, but that monitor are from 2015. Now is 2023 and still this problem exist. How is this possible???
@@earlymulock isn't this issue just VRR flicker that is not fixable on OLED's? Flicker is the only thing that is between me and a C3 42". 😅 I have a very good and accurate gaming monitor but I want OLED because of the better overall atmosphere.
@@earlymulock It's VRR flicker caused by Gsync. I have the same monitor and the only way to 100% eliminate any flicker from happening in dark scenes is turning Gsync off. A replacement will just do the same thing. It even says right in the menu on the monitor for Adaptive sync "Note that the screen flickering may occur intermittently in a specific gaming environment" Only other way I've found to minimize or stop it with Gsync still enabled (in games) is to make sure your framerate is locked to a specific number (RTSS has the most accurate frame limiter of anything out there). Higher framerates are better. I've found limiting to 60fps will generally have flicker occur, but 120fps+ generally do not. VRR flicker happens mostly when there are fluctuations in the framerate or frametime spikes. I've mostly figured out how to be able to enjoy this monitor with Gsync on at this point and I can play Diablo 4 and many other games on this monitor without it flickering. But again, the only 100% way to eliminate flicker on this monitor is to turn off Gsync for now until a new firmware comes along that hopefully addresses it. But apparently it's a pretty common issue on OLED monitors for now.
@@earlymulock In that case you may have a defective unit then. I've only ever seen any type of flickering happening while using Gsync, and mostly only when running a second monitor at the same time.
Mine flickers now as well, I hate it and I play lots of FPS GAmes where I need VRR and Freesync... Happens with AMD hardware as well and idk what to do rn
support on LG was pretty bad. Easier to contact the seller and get it swapped out. Luckily enough my monitor was still under warranty at newegg so that was easily done.
@@earlymulock i still see flickeringin dark/grey screens. But because of text unclarity and fan noise i have returned the oled. Orderen 240hz ips lg now
This issue was only enhanced by the firmware update. The panel seemed faulty and was returned and replaced with another one. The new monitor shows no signs of flickering after the firmware update. Just beware that if you have this issue you might need to return the monitor for a new one.
