www.baatraining... BAA Training is wrapping up the Flight Dispatcher sequence with the flight plan preparation and overview. This is the plan that Flight Dispatcher must prepare for each flight and submit it for the crew to review and follow during the flight. Hope you find it as interesting as we did and learn something new! Remember, this is not for training purposes!

Just a little thing: "XXX" does not mean that clouds are "from the ground" although it means that the lowest layer is at an altitude which is below FL100, which is the lowest level depicted on that chart. So the level is shown in the SWLL(Significant weather low level) that is from SFC to FL100. Anyway very interesting video :)

Hi, I'm from India. Please tell which is the best flight dispatcher school, I want to settle in Spain (Madrid) or in UAE(Dubai). Thanks.

Just a small correction at 10:45 he says wind direction is approximately from 090 degrees when its actually from the northwest at 45kt.
@YPOC
@YPOC 8 лет назад
+Brian S No, he is correct. The arrow points into the wind, and the little flag is at the end of the arrow. It can be counter intuitive that the wind direction is the direction the wind is _coming from_, not where it _goes_.
@DUBaviator
@DUBaviator 8 лет назад
+YPOC You are incorrect also, on upper air charts the barbs show the direction the wind is blowing FROM not pointing into the wind. Here is a diagram of how to read upper air chart wind barbs weather.rap.ucar.edu/info/wind_barb.gif

+Brian S Ha, you see, it's confusing. Sorry about that. ;)

The winds shown are blowing from North-West, around 300 degres not from East.

As someone who recently became part 107 certified. I really enjoyed learning Metars and reading aeronautical maps. I'm considering changing careers to become a dispatcher. Any thoughts or helpful tips I should know?

Hi, I m willing to go for a career as a flight dispatcher. Just wanted to know is there any medical test requirements like flight attendant or pilot or ATC to get flight dispatcher license, even though if we have passed all the oral, practical and written exams. I m having some hearing problem from one hear. But I m fine, with listening using the one hear like a normal person hearing and no problem in speech at all or understanding. Tried to google but didn't got answer that I m looking for. If you can guide me, it will be a great help. Thank you!

Doesn't the mentionned wind on the wind-chart come from the west?

Good day sir good explanation but the TOM does not should be 65768 instead of 65568 ?
@DUBaviator
@DUBaviator 8 лет назад
+flavion1259 The flightplan has added 200kg for taxi burn. Block fuel is 65768 but they estimate to burn 200kg during taxi to the runway.
