I don't know if we can call it a proper ukulele with those steel strings, low G, baritone... But it definitely seems to be a good instrument, and that's the most important thing ! Really appreciate what Flight are doing (and still love my Victoria tenor). Thx for the preview !

That looks and sounds amazing. I see that Flight is back to using the red bridge pins. I say that because I had a defective Flight Nighthawk Tenor that arrived without any plastic gems on the bridge pins. Both the music store I purchased it from and their Flight rep claimed that they stopped using red bridge pins. How convenient that the only uke they sold without the red ones was my Nighthawk. My Nighthawk was defective also because the cheap tuners they use came loose. The tuner for the G string separated from the headstock by 4mm and the screws were half in and half out. I only had the Uke for a few weeks when that happened. So now I own an unstrung, unusable Tenor Uke that needs a luthier to fix or better yet replace the tuners at my expense. That was the last Flight I will ever buy. I now own and play only a Klos Tenor and Baritone all carbon fiber Ukuleles and I love them.

Well, I'm not sure about everyone else, but my mind is filled with one thought... perhaps I NEED a Baritone.

Got a Carabao baritone otherwise I would have bought one of these. I have a Flight Phantom and really like this brand. The mango top looks lovely as well as it sounding good.

Would an instrument like this require a much closer attention to the action based on the metal strings? I’m not sure what SUS “aims for” in regard to action normally (probably around 2.65mm at the 12th and 0.5mm at the 1st fret) but would lower action be ideal or required for metal strings?

I have owned a couple of tenor guitars in the past but struggled with the narrow necks---about 32mm from memory---so for this to have a 38mm is a big tick in the box from me.

All I can say is….unique. Flight do it again, they love pushing the envelope. Think they will literally fly out. Thanks for the update.

Beautiful sound. I prefer flourocarbon strings as I hate the scraping noise from wound strings.

Is a steel string baritone not classed as a tenor guitar? What would the difference between the 2 be. I have the pono full mango baritone, bought from yourselves. Love it but I fancy a slightly brighter tone. What tone wood would you suggest?

Beautiful instrument. The mango table is gorgeous, and the wood of the fingerboard (rosewood ? walnut ?) soooo sensual !!! 😍😍 I'm a bit disappointed by the sound though : from such an ample body, I'd have expected a deeper, darker, richer sound. Something more ... virile ? It definitely lacks complexity too. To sum it up, I'd say it sounds immature, lol.
