On ride video of Flight of Passage at Pandora: World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Ride on the back of a banshee on a thrilling trip thru Pandora: World of Avatar
@@TatizaZ Warning cards On February 27, 2018, after four incidents had occurred,[9][10] Disney added warning cards for riders before entering the ride. The cards were similar to those on Mission: Space and warned riders about fear of heights, motion sickness, and the seating restraints.[11] These cards were removed in late 2018 and have been replaced with a pre-recorded message which communicates similar information to guests. The message plays only in the queue room immediately before the ride experience.
I waited 3 hours for this Avatar Ride. I was so scared, I honestly thought it’d be a rollercoaster or something. I didn’t think it’d be worth it..at all. But when I got on, I almost cried. It feels so real, this video doesn’t even describe it. Way better quality in real life. Avatar is truly amazing, when my family and I got off, we couldn’t say anything for the rest of the day. Awesome. 💕
@@randomthoughtstheories6681 did you know this ride is exactly how avatar 2 will look? They basically spoiled it without saying anything. And its releasing December 2021. GET HYPE
You will be in tears that it ended at the end and begging to go back, even if it just was for 4 minutes. Your whole life after that no ride will compare to it.
The ride is fun. The water actually hits you. You can feel the banshee breathing . You feel the wind and smells. Even the queue is great. Amazing ride.
Micayla Howe the ride itself doesn't go upside down but I think the screen or whatever you call it makes it go upside down to where it makes you feel like you are since the seats move with it
When I rode this I was shocked and excited at the beginning but then after awhile you abandoned all reality and you actually feel like your there. You feel (I know this sounds stupid lol) one with this amazing creature. Truly a remarkable and pleasant ride. You have outdone yourselves Disney.
Khira So Flawless yea it's almost like no matter what you can't explain the feeling you get on this ride until you experience it. It's one of my new favorites!
Sabina Wolf on the ride it is like a motor cycle but you are secure. You sit on it and go as far up as yo can on the bike the these thins come up that hold our legs and back so you don’t fall because the floor drops and you wear vr like goggles
ImWagon Theme Park Review actually posted one the day before but it isn't the entire ride. They show footage behind the seats too which is kinda cool. This one is better though imo.
You are correct. 3D rides such as Star Tours and this one are forbidden to be recorded by people. Other rides that are NOT 3D such as Twilight Zone, Space Mountain, TTA etc are all fine to be recorded.

I’m here crying watching this 😿 my ex took me and I teared up when it was over it was so beautiful ❤️ he was supposed to take me again for my birthday ... but he passed away 1 month before he could ... I don’t know if I could ever bare riding this again 💔
I'm not trying to be dramatic but This is the most incredible thing I've ever done in my life I lost all reality and felt like I was flying You don't need to watch the movie to love this ride You have to see it to believe how amazing it is! It was the highlight of my 3 weeks in disney But... Theres one huge problem about this ride It has to end. 💙💙💙💙💙
hello is it me youre looking for ok listen up kids The wait times greatly depends on the time of year and the type of ride. This ride is still “new” so your looking at mabey 2ish hours, almost any thrill rides will be like an hour and a half. Whereas something like small world is anywhere from 15 minutes to a hour (depending on the time of day) to skip the lines, you can book these things called fast passes you can have 3 at a time. If your staying on Disney property you can book them up to 2 months In advance, so if your gonna get them for a ride like this or another similar ride you need the 2 months otherwise it’s basically hopeless. If your OFF property you get 1 month. I’ve been been going there since I was born (2004) and I’ve been there like a million times so trust in my knowledge, I haven’t been there in like a year but I doubt they changed it
@hello is it me youre looking for We went to this park as soon as it opened and headed straight to this ride. Our wait was about 45 minutes. Worth it - the line for this one winds through enough scenery to keep things interesting. By the time we got out, the wait time was about an hour and a half.
I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one who gets emotional from this ride. It’s quite literally one of the most exhilarating, transcendent, thrilling things I’ve ever done.
Thanks for uploading but note to all watching: THIS VIDEO DOES NOT DO THE RIDE JUSTICE! This ride is positively amazing in person and the level of detail is astounding. You can literally look up and see the tree tops and look down and see the ground. Wind, smells and the breathing of the Banshee, too. AMAZING AF!
Just went on this. BEST RIDE EVER !! hands down, nothing comes close. It is 100x better than the hype. This video is great, but is only 1/10 the experience you get when you're riding the simulation machine (like a motorcycle), you're seeing this in 3D with the glasses, your body is moving back/forth on the machine as you take every turn, and wind and water is being blown on your face to match the scenes in the movie. 10x better than Soaring at Epcot. It literally makes you feel like you're flying and taking all these crazy turns and dives. Can't recommend it enough. Once in a lifetime experience.
@@Journeyingwithjillian Hi there! I would say that Flight of Passage is a bit more motion intense. Soarin is pretty much some getnle seays, meanwhile there are a few more intense parts of Flight of Passage. Both of them are amazing rides though
i got fast passes for this ride but even if u wait the 2 to 3 hrs you will NOT be disappointed. Hands down the best attraction in Disney World. It feels SO REAL!
headfangs the 3D in the ride is not traditional 3D where things pop out at you and everything is blurry without them, you can not where the glasses and see everything fine the 3D just add a lot of depth into the screen to make it truly feel as if you are going into somewhere
Jeremiah Staab It's forced perspective. if you focused on the perpihrials of the ride you would notice there's usually things there with a slight motion blur. Including the concave fisheye lense effect it naturally already gives a amazing illusion of depth ontop of that suttle super crisp 3D. 10/10 for Disney on that it made me cry. it's almost scary to think that movies like toystory were mindboggling impressive computer graphics only 20 years ago. We're truly living in the future and this makes me feel ambitious to whats to come.
One of the most emotional moments a ride can ever give you - Thrilling, beautiful, mesmerising, breath taking and worth every second of the wait. Thank you Disney
This ride is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what my expectations were, but I never could have expected this. Disney should be immensely proud of this absolute masterpiece. This is the kind of thing that everyone should experience. I actually felt like I was on a banshee, as it breathes around you and you feel every movement that it makes. I felt as if I was actually soaring above the gorgeous landscape and feeling the wind and water hit my face. They even have different smells hit you as you’re flying above different areas. This actually made me cry because of how beautiful it was. It’s a great time to be alive, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
This is the greatest story ride to ever exist. I remember being misty eyed and looking to my left to see tears steaming down my sisters face. It's a beautiful and spiritual experience.
I cried too, I went on this with my boyfriend (the only one who can handle my weird fascination with this movie) and it was truly amazing and this movie really opens your eyes and mind to appreciate the beautiful planet around you
I’m crying again reading your comment. I cried on the ride and especially just after and if I think about it too deeply still I cry. My first time to ride it was four days ago. My husband who never cries for anything said that he almost did. If you think I’m exaggerating, you have to ride it!
It's worthy the entire price of the journey.... I've come from Italy to do it!!! I JUST COULDN'T STOP SAYING "IT'S AMAZING... IT'S AMAZING...." Now I'm home... and I miss WDW so much!
Loved this and tower. Although tower had me squeezing my wife's arm so hard she said. I never freaked on a ride like that and have gone on a lot of rides.
This isn't just a ride, it's a life changing experience! You'll never feel that kinda of pure joy and euphoria again in your life like when you step off this ride. Nothing will ever top this....
right at 3:03 I would start bawling my freaking eyes out. I grew up with this movie, I dreamed of being in the movie, I dreamed of being a Na'vi. This would give me my childhood back...
StaticCosplay I love this ride, you should totally go on it. I watched the movie before I went to Disney to go here, and it’s my favorite movie of all time. And now to feel like your on an ikran? Like, flying through the sky? It’s amazing and I totally recommend it to you
Rode it on Friday during soft open and Saturday during grand opening - Disney has truly outdone themselves with this ride; the queue, the preshow, and the ride itself are all done REMARKABLY well.
It's like Soarin on crack. You stay on a platform the whole time. It's really fun but if you find it getting too intense just follow the leader with your eyes and you will know when you are going to have some drops. Wife and I rode it opening day and again a few months later. No upside down loops.
wraith9112 could you explain the drops? Or "drops" as some people say? Is it something straight down like Tower of Terror or little hills like Pirates or Space Mountain. I hate drops. Everest is as far as I'll go and I'm even terrified of it every time hahaha.
I've ridden it 6 times :) And it's not at all like Tower of Terror or Everest drops. More like pirates or space mountain. You feel it a bit in your stomach, but you feel like you're there and it's truly amazing!
Rode this several times last week. Absolutely the most amazing ride I've ever been on. This video is great, but (naturally) just can't capture the FEELING of being there, of really flying through this stunning landscape. I hope Disney follows this up with more rides in a similar vein. It was unbelievable.
Yes, 100% it's that good. When my family went, we had a fastpass for it, (actually planned our entire vacation around that lol) and afterwards, we loved it so much we turned back around, and waited 4 hours for a second ride.
can we all just appreciate that this a beautiful interactive adventure in itself? it makes you feel like you could be part of an avatar movie. it's that good
I'm not going to lie, I got a little teary eyed during the ride, mainly when we went into the cave. It was absolutely hands down the best ride I've been on and I've been on all the rides at Disney and Universal. I've never been on anything like it and it was truly an amazing experience.
Just rode this for the first time today. This ride is beautiful, breathtaking, amazing, and every possible positive adjective out there. I could believe how realistic EVERYTHING was- visuals, motions, scents, all of it. The video alone doesn’t do it justice. Even the outside waiting line scenery is gorgeous. Congrats Disney, you have truly created a masterpiece 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This video made me cry. So amazing. And I know the actual experience must be 10 times more amazing. I can only imagine. I want to ride this SO badly I can just feel it down to my toes! Dear LORD please heal my body so I can experience things like this again. In Jesus' name!
Since i was 10 years old and i first watched avatar in theaters, it has been a huge part of me that will never leave my mind. the world of pandora and the na’vi people and their culture touched a piece of my soul and resonated with me in a way no other story ever has. I am now 20 going on 21 in three days, and just a few weeks ago i went to disney world with my girlfriend. we rode this ride on our last day there and let me tell you, it was the most magical and spiritual thing i believe i’ve ever experienced. i left the ride an emotional wreck, tears in my eyes and huge smile on my face. this ride reached within and grabbed that same part of my soul that the movie did when i was a kid. never have i been that moved by a virtual experience, even most real experiences couldn’t do that to me. i’ve never stopped hoping that one day through the magic of virtual reality technology i would be able to go to pandora and just simply exist there for a while. this ride gave me that. if you ever get the chance to go and do this, take it. in the meantime i’ll do my best to pray for you that you heal and are able to do this someday.
this ride is breathtaking. there’s truly no experience like this i can’t even put it into words, half the people i rode with came out crying in amazement
This is by far my favorite ride Disney has to offer. Their ability to make it feel so realistic just puts it above every other ride. My family and I loved riding this ride
This is by far the most exhilarating thing I've ever experienced in my life!!!! This was so magical!!! It was so immersive! You truly feel like you're flying!!! I was taken off of this planet for 4 minutes, which felt like so much longer!!! There are no words to describe the feeling you get on this ride!!! You do not want to go back to reality after this!!!! Absolutely amazing!!!!!!
Even though the line was 2+ hours long, I road this three times and it was worth it every time. I love all the little details like the smells, the air and water, and the fact that you can feel the banshee breathing. I just wish it was longer :(
Demurei I honestly cried when I rode this ride. I too appreciated the small details. This ride is just as beautiful. It makes me want to escape reality and live in that world.
We went last July and had fast passes in the morning, then we decided to get in the standby line at the end of the night. We waited 1.5 hours, but it was worth it and so much fun! We never usually wait that long for a ride, but we passed the time talking. It was great!
I didn’t expect it to feel real at all! Then when I put the glasses on..I was scared for the first dive cause it felt so real! The adventures of riding a banshee/ikran are breath taking. Then I realize I’m back to reality. ):
I do Disney for every 5th Birthday since I was 50.. This was my 60th birthday ride I COULD NOT WAIT FOR!!!! It was worth the two and 1/2 hour wait. The idea of that you could fell your beast coldness again your legs as your were holding on for dear life. But if you were into the moment how many of you felt it breathing!! That was the icing on the cake. This ride was so real.
I sat in awe watching this. These sea creatures look awesome! I hope we'll get to see these more in Avatar 2, they said that we'll see more of Pandora's oceans in the movie.
Who else shrieked when that whale thing came up out of the ocean? Ha ha, my dog got out of his bed in the other room and came to see if I was okay. This is so amazing!!! I am awestruck.
i wanted to cry when i went on this. the DETAIL is INSANE. I wanted to be there in real life. I wished i was an avatar. it’s crazy. the breathing of riding on a banshee. everything about this ride is to die for. it was so good i went in line twice.
This ride is amazing in person. The smell of the nature and the water makes it feel so real. You can even feel the banshee breathing as you ride. You won’t regret standing the long line, it’s worth it.
I went this past week - couldn't get a Fast Pass so did rope drop (stood in a crowd at the front gate before the park opened.) HUGE crowd and most people were going to Pandora to ride this. More or less walked onto the ride without waiting. Rode it, got off, when I got back outside it was a 45 minute wait so went and stood in line, which was more like half an hour, and rode it again. My advice to anyone who wants to ride this and can't get a Fast Pass: do rope drop, get to the park about 45 mins before it opens, and you should be able to get on without waiting too long, if at all.
Just experienced this today. We were a little ways back in the line, but it was still moving pretty quickly, so we got there in about half an hour. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. If you can, make sure to ride this if you go. I watched this first a couple of years ago to see what it was like, but it really doesn't beat the real thing.
My wife and I just rode this last week. This is by far the best ride at all the Disney parks. It’s so realistic. The scenes are beautiful. We rode it twice. No matter what the wait time is, it’s worth every second. If we lived in Florida I’d get a season pass and go everyday long enough to ride this then leave.
I think this is one of the best rides Disney has. You become so fully immersed in it. The way the wall disappears is amazing. You feel like you're actually there. When you're in the cone of the wave I actually screamed because I thought I was going to get soaked by the water if it hit us. When the Red Banshee flies at you I instinctively put my arms up to protect myself. I avoided watching any ride throughs or how it works videos before going on it, but it was SO worth it. For 2 years I avoided spoilers and that helped make it feel so much more real.
I just rode this tonight and it was the best ride I’ve ever been on in my life. The smells, the wind in your face, and of course, the visuals. You really travel to another planet. Believe the hype.
This ride is INCREDIBLE. Might be the best ride at Disney:) It's absolutely exhilarating when you're actually riding it (and the smells and feeling of the banshee breathing underneath you make it a truly immersive experience). No matter the wait time, it's worth the wait!
Just rode it with my family for the first time. I had heard great things about it, but I can honestly say words cannot describe this ride. It truly is something one must experience in person to understand how breathtaking it is. Me and my family did all 4 disney parks, and both universal and I have to say, flight of passage is the best ride/experience Orlando has to offer. Period. And now, I'm officially quitting my job and moving to Pandora. Later earth ✌️
Not a Morning Person same and I was screaming at the top of my lungs I went on today and it was horrible but really great it felt like you were there but that was also the problem
I went there back in June, when it was starting up I was so nervous and excited. That first dive and then fly made me cheer. It was such an amazing experience. "Sivako!"
this ride is absolutely amazing, it’s just astonishing, its always so hard to get off because you just don’t want it to end. It’s hard to tell in the videos but disney did such a good job making this ride, it feels so real. ngl i have cried both of the times i’ve ridden this ride it just makes me so happy.
This ride took my fucking breath away. I remember my jaw dropped when the ride started and I just began smiling ear to ear with excitement. It just makes you feel like you’re in a whole other world.
So sad because when I was on this ride I didn’t want to leave what I was experiencing/seeing. I wanted to stay there forever. My worries of life was gone when I experienced this ride.
This is an absolutely visually stunning experience. There are so many elements that propel you into a whole other world, I remember resting as we entered the cavern of glowing lights and tears nearly coming from my eyes. There’s a calmness and serenity about this that you can only experience riding this. Wether your wait is 5 minutes to 3 hours, i completely recommend waiting whatever you need. If you are looking at fastpasses, a helpful hint is procuring them at least a month ahead of time. This is a surreal experience, and by far my favorite ride at disney. Sivako!
Hands down best ride I have ever been on at any park. Blew my mind how real it felt from the water to the smell of the flowers. I literally had tears in my eyes because of how mind blowing it was.
Every freaking time there is a four to five hour stand in line that drives me crazy, but after coming out of the ride, I just feel like the torture of standing in line was worth it.
This video does not do the ride justice. The attention to detail is phenomenal, you can look all around you and see the entire world. You can feel the Banshee breathing between your legs, feel the wind and water in your face, smell the forest and dirt and cave, and the music combined with the sounds of the world is breathtaking. It literally brought me to tears. My favorite ride I've ever been on.
This ride was amazing. We waited hours for it, and it was worth it. There are real splashes of water, smells, and your chair moves, making you feel like you're there. It looks so real, I actually felt like I was riding in the sky. If you get the chance, you have to try this out for sure.
When I rode this ride it made me feel free and happy, it was so beautiful that it made me cry lol. This was the best thing I’ve ever done in my whole life!
Just went on this the first time ever today. I went at 7:30 and the line was already almost 2 hours long, and I have got to admit that once I finished the ride it is DEFINITELY worth the wait 2x. This ride is the most well done ride I have ever experienced in my life. It honestly felt I was there on the banshee and I even had a sense of pride. It truly feels and is a life changing experience. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to go on this ride, I swear to you, you won't regret it AT ALL.
Kendall Mudge yeah.. this is great. I'm glad they messed up the opportunity to get the potter franchise. their plan for it was utterly terrible and I am glad Rowling told them to take a hike and she went with universal. otherwise the Disney version of potter would be terrible and then Pandora wouldn't exist at all. They really needed to be put in their place big time. after the new fantasy land let down, then watching all the money they could spend go to shanghai and anaheim, they needed something great.
There is only one true sorcerer, Mickey. Disney not acquiring Harry Potter was a god send. The fact Universal got the attraction is actually better for both parks. At least Disney now as some competition in Orlando. Maybe they will be forced to open anther park in Disney World, which would be a dream come true for many Disney fans. I see the new water parks as more of a waste than opening a Disney in Asia. I have 6 Flags for water parks or even Mystic Waters. I come to Disney for top dollar entertainment and elaborate dark rides, with the occasional roller coaster.
_ soylentgreenfairy _ a 5th park? they have a lot of room at magic kingdom and epcot still. star wars has yet to open as well as the downsized version of toy story land. just look at how well Disneyland has used their space. its much smaller than magic kingdom, but it doesn't feel at all smaller yet it has so many more attractions in it. I think we are at least 10 years away from Disney even thinking about another park in orlando. probably 20+ years before one actually opens.
+robhimself79 "a 5th park?" Yes, that's the product of competition. Disneyland is forced to cram everything into a high school size plot of land and it actually makes it worse. Btw, reconstructing the Toy Story land is beyond unimaginable. It's a 20 year old movie franchise that's only gone down since the first movie.
_ soylentgreenfairy _ Disneyland doesn't feel crammed at all especially when you consider how many attractions are there. it is most definitely not worse, especially when they keep classic attractions. they use the space far better than orlando does... and a 5th park, like I said is very far off if at all. they simply don't need another park when there is so much room to use in the existing 4. universal, however, can stand to add another park and with the addition of nintendo, I would love to see more from them. their last two additions are breathtaking.
Waited almost four hours for this ride. SOO WORTH IT! You can heccin smell the wind and feel the Banshee breathe. It feels like your actually flying! The whole room moves and makes it feel your midair!
4 hours? Seriously? I can't think of anything dumber in the world than standing in line for 4 hours for a ride. I wouldn't stand in line for 4 hours for a free iPhone, let alone a 4 minute "ride" that you also have to pay money for.
Totoro yeah my family just got all of the fast passes that we all agreed on a year before and when we were there we tried to get fast passes for other rides we wanted to go on and had a blast it’s a lot of money but worth it because you have time to just look around and embrace everything
@@oh-totoro Trust me, it's worth it, and it goes by faster than you think. The queue for the ride is also incredible and makes you completely forget about the wait
@@oh-totoro if you wont spend 4 hours of your time for a once-in a lifetime experience or a new iphone, youre making some poor life choices. Its not even a boring wait for the most part
The smells.. The spraying if water.. Everything was so amazing... It was so real..if I could be and avatar I would be.. I would do anything to ride it again.
I remember when I went on it a third time, the restraints wouldn't release me when it was over lmao. My dad said the banshee didn't want me to leave again. Don't know why, but that actually made me cry lol. Of course, there was a fourth and fifth time going on it after that haha
This is the best experience ever, from the breathing to the smells an water splashing you in the face. Nothing like it. Its a must and no other disney ride is better than this one. We got to ride it 4 times and i just cant say it enough don't leave disney without hopping on this ride.
Alright, I went on this ride a few months ago with my family. I will admit I was a little scared at first cause there’s arm and leg restraints, but I heard so much about the ride, that I just toughened it out and my god I’m so happy I did. It is literally the coolest thing you will ever do in your life. The drops, the scenery, the smells, the feeling of being suspended in the air, Overall it was truly so amazing, that it is impossible to put into words. When my family got off, we were just in utter SHOCK. Our mouths were just hanging open. I would drive to Disney (24 hours) JUST for this ride. You absolutely have to ride this. It is worth a 10 hour wait. Also, just a quick tip, the wait isn’t as long as it says. The wait was 2:30 hours for us, but it actually ended up being just over an hour. 5 STARS!
When we were at Disney world during the Spring Break the year before, I booked the trip mostly for this ride. We waited 3 hrs for the ride on the first day but we didn’t regret a tiny bit. For the second and third day, we went back for the ride again for a few rimes and I we never getting tired of it. What a miraculous ride which you never want to get out of it!
This ride is nothing short of spectacular. Everything about it is truly outstanding. The Queue is probably the best wait you'll ever have (if you have to wait of course). The ride itself is awesome! Well done Disney as usual. 10/10 would ride this a million more times.
In my opinion this ride is one of the best in any of the parks there. It's about as immersive as it gets. Only way it can be more is to be able to control your own banshee and I can imagine the money it'd take to do that lol.
Rode it yesterday. It’s breathtaking. Watching this POV and criticizing the ride based on it is literally the same as watching a POV of skydiving and thinking “hmm, seems cool.” This ride needs to be experienced. The details are unreal. From the feeling of wind in your hair, to the splashing of water, to the feeling of your banshee breathing at your thighs. You literally feel the Ikra breathing on your legs. It’s unbelievable! This shits on anything universal has done in the last 15 years. Bravo Disney.
Not gonna lie, I almost cried when the ride ended, not because it ended, but because the experience itself was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. As a fan of the movie as a kid, riding one of those ikrans was a dream of mine, and this ride provides that experience so well. Disney has done their magic again.
Its not just a ride...its a moving spiritual experience. I rode it 2 years ago and halfway through I cried. Had a feeling I can't describe. Saddest part is...you have to come back to earth. When I die, I want my soul to be transported to pandora. 10yrs later and I still think about the movie...cant wait for part 2
I didn't say "only" part. I'm just saying that's the part where you truly feel it since it's not flying and it's dark plus it's obvious from the sound of breathing.
Riding on this actual ride had me speechless where I was mostly dissapointed on how most rides are now on using a large screen like it was Soarin. But this ridee really had me realize how that there are some rides that can leave your jaw dropping and make the 3 hour waiting worth it. I love this ride so much I would go again even it was 2 hours long and still almost in tears every time i see the mountains and sun setting. Completley worth it :)
Had the extreme pleasure and privilege of being able to ride this twice during our day at Animal Kingdom. I could have done it five more times and would never get tired of it. RU-vid doesn't do this ride justice -- go on it if you ever get the chance! 👍👍👍
