To stop the main leg rotating, I took the gear out and unscrewed the 2 grub screws within the leg pivot. Then re-tightened them. N.B. You need a good quality 1.5mm hex screwdriver to avoid chewing up the grub screws.
Nice review as always. I leave the lower gear doors off as they were always getting knocked, also added a pull tab for the canopy, another negative I found is the motor mount (plastic) isn't that strong where it's glued to the foam but easily reinforced . Likewise, beautiful scale model that flies like a big trainer. 👌✈️
Wow such a beautiful airplane man very nice i definitely want to get into flying just got my A&P & working on the real thing but would be sweet tooling with these plane we'll see happy flying my friend
Hi. Nice review. On my V4 i removed the lower leg door sections so that they dont snag on the grass. One other point on the build I found I had to do, was to put a touch of lubricant into the prop hub assembly to get it to seat more easily. Flap/elevator mixing, as you said, needs to be a bit of trial and error, because it will depend alot on throws and balance characteristics of your own particular setup. Power on this model (V4) is nothing short of exhilarating. Overall, every foamie pilot in the mid to high range of ability should have one. A definite FMS winner. ( ps - I have one centre gear door that hangs slightly in flight too lol ) ehh!
One of my favorite planes ,T28s fly great, I have 5 , favorite is the eflite 1200mm . Fms build beautiful planes, Great flying Vas , better crash something so I have room for this.
@@AussieRCPlayground Love your videos my friend. But it looks that you are more in RC cars now. We love them too. Keep up the great work and see you soon.
Another AWESOME review Vas 🤗!!!! I really need to try flying sometime. Got a great spot near my house. It looks relaxing and exciting 👀. Love the yellow and black 😍. The Trojan looks like a fine flyer. Great info and flying Brother. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
Rich, try the E-Flite UMX Timber. So easy to fly, great way to start (a big plane like the FMS T-28 needs a very large area). I got into RC planes after seeing Vas' flying videos last year and thinking it looked like an amazing experience, and I haven't looked back since. Now have 3 planes and just ordered a helicopter! Vas is doing us bashers a favor by sharing a more "civilized" take on RC!
Great plane. But it is let down by frail gear doors and easily bent nose strut. FMS do need to address this. My righthand main gear door didn't close fully. It was caused by the strut not going deep enough into the wheel well. Cured mine by packing up the outer two screws that secure the e-retract unit to the wing thus rotating the strut further. Simple but effective.
Beautiful plane sir. I have plenty of race and GPS drones and a bunch of bashers but no planes. I really am thinking of pulling the trigger and getting either a wing or plane like this. Oh and keep up the good work sir. You know you are doing it right when your subscribers are hitting the thumbs up before even watching your videos..lol Cheers from Canada
Epic Review Vas... and one lovely bird too!! Apart from the Durafly Tundra.. I'm very much an EDF and turbine person. I do, love my warbirds and ones with retracts (especially with doors.... ) Often need lots of love. She's a great flier... Wouldn't call it trainer material.. but 2nd plane definitely. Great flying skills too mate! Great presence in the air for sure!
I have this 🦅 on it’s way to me. My Question is what type of Connector is on the ESC? I have a bunch of Specktrum 4S 3200mAh 50C G2’s 50C and they have the IC3 connector on them. I trying to get ahead of the build and get everything I need to build it as soon as it arrives. Thank you in advance!! Happy Flying!! 👍🙏
@@cameron300462 Any typical warbird nasty tip stall characteristics? How about orientation, any trouble telling if it's right side up it being pretty much the same color scheme on top and bottom? I would think that big fuselage would help with that. Thanx, Tim
