Everyone else has summed up your video already, but not quite, "More, more , more please, as a thank you I "clicked Like", "Subscribed", tapped the "Bell" and chose "all" hoping for more of your videos. And this video I hold as special. So I grabbed this RU-vid video and store it on my computer home page for fast referencing. Thanks for taking your time to make this possible.
Hello Wayne, and yes there is more to come. I have a growing list of projects I look forward to completing and sharing here. Currently, I am working on a second weight and balance video since it received requests. Thank you for your kind support for this project.
Hello and thank you StuartGrantChannel! I appreciate your feedback, and learning about video editing is a long process but I'm having fun with the experience. Best wishes!

Hello Rance, and thank you! It is encouraging to know this project is being useful for people on their pilot training journey. This particular video project had me stuck for a while, I am aiming to be able to post videos more frequently as I learn more about video editing. I appreciate your support!
Hi Aidyl, I just watched your both videos of understanding your FAR/AIM, i am getting ready for my checkride as you can tell, it was very helpful to see the recommended study guide in the book (i wasn't aware of it), but in other videos from other youtubers they also recommend following the ACS, so i am doing an excel file following both, the recommended study list and the ACS, is this the right approach? or am I still lost? thanks for the great video, it truly lightens our paths for lost pilots, i hope all this hard studying pays off soon, greetings from the bay area
Hello Bovio, thank you for watching this video, too. It sounds like you have a good system for studying those many regulations. Both the ACS and FAR/AIM book will be your best friends when it comes to studying regulations for the checkride. To roughly summarize their purposes for this, the ACS will show what regulations topics the examiner will test you on, and the FAR/AIM is the regulations textbook we get our knowledge and information, to fulfill the items in the ACS. In addition to each item in the lists, I also recommend working on understanding how to search for answers in the FAR/AIM book, in general. That way, if an examiner happens to ask about a regulation you may not be very confident in, you can save yourself by being able to confirm to the examiner with this book. The checkride is open-book, and you can bring any notes or your excel sheet etc. -so take advantage of that. I know the information to study feels endless, and it actually is! But if you know which sources to use and how to navigate in them, that skill can be helpful even if you couldn't memorize every single regulation. Last thought, some schools collect written feedback from students who have taken their checkride and they give a good idea of what subjects and questions to expect with certain examiners. They are usually called checkride "gouges."-it may be worth asking if your school happens to have any available. I hope that was helpful, and best wishes for your upcoming checkride.
I have my first flight review coming up and I still don't understand why METARs and TAFs are displayed the way they are. Perhaps back when computers weren't as fast or things needed to be printed it was useful in expediting the process, but in 2022 with 3rd party apps clearly displaying the info in English I don't get why it cannot be provided first hand in English and not leave the person translating the info open to user error. Perhaps an older more experienced pilot can explain.
Happy Easter from Sydney Australia. I really enjoyed your video explaining the structure of the Code of Federal regulations. I believe this is the legal framework for the subordinate authorities such as the Department of Transport and within that department, the Federal Aviation Administration. Learning toolbox Are you selling your focus guides (private certificate) for the FAR/AIM 2022. Once again great stuff. 🌏🇦🇺
Hello John, thank you for your support as always! I am wondering if you were referring to that study list guide/notes I typed out for this video, they are available for free to anyone who wants it.
