Actually there is a lot more structure in programs in Canada. It just depends on what flight school you go to. If you go to a hillbilly flight school with less than 10 planes, obviously it will be unstructured. However, if you go to a bigger school, then you will have structure. My program had 8 total progs and it’s very structured.

Nope. I am working as a Designer. But when I was in college I took Aircraft Maintenance Technology. On my 3rd year they taught us how to taxi and perform run ups. That time they only have two aircrafts the rp2202 and the rp 2204.

Hi Poul! I know it's an old video and im commenting late, but I was wondering how the process of converting a foreign CPL license (such as an FAA) into CAAP works? I'm also planning on studying flying abroad and look to eventually convert it into the local CAAP license. Does CAAP require any further checkrides and tests? Or do we simply handle paperwork and convert it straight away?

Hey Poul, I'm a student pilot based in Calgary got my PPL in CYBW and currently working on my CPL.. I've given Philippine flight schools some thought but I found that it might be easier to get all the licenses and ratings done here.. Although, I'm open to hearing what flight schools in the Philippines got to say in terms of how they operate and how they are compared to Canadian standards..

+Kevin hey man! Nice to hear from a fellow Pinoy pilot! It honestly depends on the person. I actually plan to move back to Manila. And they don't require a multi engine rating. My decision is still unsure for now. But knowing that a Single engine instrument rating will, do. I'll just rather move back and save a bit of money.

Poul Go I never thought it would be cheaper to fly here in Canada than in the Phils.. Anyways, if I may ask, are you planing to get an ATPL in the future? Because as far as I know that will require group 1 instrument rating. Keep in mind you don't have to get all the training hours in a multi.. you can technically train in a single engine IFR and do the test in a Multi thus allowing you to have a group 1.. which what I will probably do..

Poul Go I do plan to stay here and get my ATPL.. after then, I'm willing to relocate anywhere for an airline job.. and about that IFR stuff, it might be different from school to school.. try and find out if you can do the same.. because the reason why I'm doing that is because my instructor told me I could do it..

Yung nanay at tatay ko support sa akin mag pilot, ang problema nga lang, saan kami ng million pampalipad ng training. Mayroon ding pamangkin ang tatay ko na pilot, at nag work ngayon sa PAL. Sana matupad talaga yung ambition ko.

+Airbow 45 if you live in Canada, you just need to graduate high school i think. In the PH, they call it aircraft maintenance technician.

Hi kuya! I live in Paris and im 17 yo, after my studies here, i wanna be a pilot but what school should i apply? In UK, there's CTC aviation and CAE too but it's very expensive... How much is the course for Cpl/IR in PAAT and omni? Did you also heard or visit Alpha Aviation Group in Clark? I'm from Pampanga (my family and I live in Paris) and I wanna know if i should apply in Europe or in the Philippines after my studies... Thank you

Schools in Europe are generally more expensive unless you go to Spain. CPL/IR will cost around US$50,000 for a good school in the Philippines. If you are Filipino and want to work for an airline in the Philippines it is best to do the training there. Hope this helps.

Depends if you want to be a military pilot or a commercial one. As general aviation, you can either be a commercial pilot, private pilot, or air force pilot. You just have to choose.

Of course its okay to join the army first before entering commercial aviation. It'll only provide financial assistance, but I can't guarantee that it will be easier to be hired as a pilot in an airliner. But if you're already a pilot in the Armed Forces, you'll probably already have a private pilot license and instrument rating. You just have to enroll for a commercial pilot license course at any civilian flight school. Then you can shift to commercial aviation.

It really depends on what your goals are, flight schools have small differences but still need to train the same standard for the student to achieve the license from the regulator. You can check out all schools on our website. Hope it helps.

If you want to apply in any ailines.you need like 5m+ for it.Pal have 500hours minimum flight hours for the first officer.By research lang po yan

It depends on the school, the number of hours, and the type of aircraft. It usually ranges from 2m to 5m in total. But in 2m's case, wala pang multi-engine. Hindi yan per year. Depende sa iyo kung kailan mo matatapos but as much as possible, dapat tuloy tuloy.
