I cannot tell you how many times I did the KHWO to KMTH/KEYW or Opa Locka to MYBS "short hops" under pristine VFR conditions. I am oh so ready to come back to Florida. Great video.
Really! Romeo Juliet is a great plane. Very well taken care of. You are lucky. I will miss flying in it! That’s crazy you found these videos. I wish I could have bought it. 😊
Laurie are you still flying? I haven’t had Romeo Julliet up in a couple months. The weather hasn’t really cooperated in the Northeast plus the virus. I’m thinking of bringing it back to Florida next winter Hope all is well Stay safe. Jim.
Laurie Lindsey hi Laurie just a few months lol. I have RJ in Ct but haven’t been up in. A couple of months the weather up here has not been very cooperative and now the the virus I think I’ll bring her back to Florida next winter I’ll move down there for the winter Somewhere between Del Ray and Fort Lauderdale. I have a home on an island at the east end of Long Island that has an airstrip SI my plan is to bring it out there. Are you still Flying? I enjoyed your videos they actually inspired me to get back in the left seat. Hope your well. Stay safe during this craziness. Be well. Jim.
I've flown from Naples direct to Marathon a good few times, climbing high enough over the water to be able to (almost) glide there if the engine went quiet; then on to Key West and a short walk to the beach where I lay for many hours when I should have been hours-building. Is the tethered balloon still flying over the air base? Happy Days :)
Good idea to fly high over the water there. Also for flight following because you will lose Miami Center if too low. Yes the balloon is still there! Thanks for watching.
I use to fly in every yr to visit my dad. Could see the house. Loved to circle and see the water and feel I was coming home. Because next day out to thunderbolt.
I get a flight following. It’s a very busy airspace. You will fly low level and they like you on the east side if you go over Hallover inlet. It’s a little easier if the jets are landing from the west since they are in a climb to the east. Stay out of the class Bravo. You can lose Miami ATC if you are too low if you are heading to the Keys.
wow!! How many miles of beach is that?? Great job with the flying, thank you for recording it.. and how awesome is that Diamond?! Love it, keep it up!!
