Imo Met Mile sets up great for him. Jackie’s Warrior will get out fast and he’ll stalk right off of him until he evens up around the final turn then it’ll be which one can look the other in the eye and get it done. Jackie’s Warrior has the edge in experience and grade 1 experience but Flightline destroyed Dr. Schivel who beat JW in the BC. I think Flightline will get it.

Look at his pedigree; Secretariat four or five back, Top AND Bottom: the large heart gene. When was the last time we saw this type of consistent performance? I just hope he has the rest of the breeding for the physical durability. A wonderful horse!

Ghostzapper was defeated only twice in his career, so by assumption, you might be referring to his second career start? Today in the Pacific Classic he disposed of the winner of the Dubai World Cup with ease. Even after having to deal with a rabbit that Richard Mandella entered in the race, he cruised right by the rabbit and went on to equal the track record for a mile and a quarter at Del Mar. He could have broken it easily, his jockey saw that he was well clear and eased him home.
He's a very good horse, but the opposition is very poor quality. Country Grammer ran the 10f in 2m 2.73, more than 3 seconds slower than the track record and running the final 3f in 39.9 secs.
Tapit's managers know exactly what kind of mares are most likely to nick with him. Starting to look like Indian Charley/Uncle Mo daughters go well with him, giving the offspring a new dimension of speed and stamina.
Interesting now that his career is over to look back at his naysayers. Were they convinced by his final stroll in the Breeders Cup Classic that he belongs among the all time greats? For me he is the greatest horse of my lifetime, I'll be 66 tomorrow. What a thrill it has been, especially this last race where he sat behind Life Is Good waiting for the cue to blow by as he has done every time.
I respect your opinion regarding Flightline. I too, would place him in the Top 5. I can not place him above Secretariat. He never ran enough great races to convince me of that. I will always feel that any horse that only runs 5 to 10 races in its lifetime can hold that billing. Flightline while super...has left a few of us lifers wondering...just how super he was. I've seen too many awesome performances by Secretariat. I am sure that, I am not alone. Thank you.
Maybe he wasn’t ready ,John Sadler is an excellent experienced trainer .I’d rather trust the judgement of someone who was actually at the barn watching the horse train and develop.
Flightline is an Incredible True Front Runner....remind me of another Super Front Runner in Alleged(Dual Arc d Triomphe) winner ridden by the great jockey Lester Piggott.... Flightline might just be the better of the two Great Front Runners.
In the Breeders Cup just bet on Epicenter and Rich Strike.. Flightline gets the lead easily. This coming Breeders Cup Life Is Good will be the problem of Flightline. He cannot easily grab the lead to Life is good. This will be a batyle in front. So I will bet on Epicenter or maybe another longshot win for Rich Strike

Never discourage a horse that likes to be in front by holding them back in any races and then there will be more flightlines. Pacing a horse is for the rest of the horses.
I totally agree a real champion racehorse runs at the front and eliminates all excuses that the closers always seem to find. They go to the front take on all challenges and have no excuses when the race is over and he is just that kind of horse. He is cut from the same cloth as Dr.Fager, Ruffian, Seattle Slew and Ghostzapper. To beat these horses they had to be double and triple teamed with rabbit's to push them beyond what any horse could do because any horse that dare look them in the would never finish ahead of them. I may be a bit premature in annoiting him but what I have observed so far is mind blowing.
@@dabking3611 One more data point. I want to see him beat good horse at a mile and a quarter. Besides, those pesky Europeans always think their horses are better, and Baaeed is 8 for 8.
