I don’t know either, he must have had lameness issues from early in his training. A 4-year old horse with three lifetime starts could be a major red flag in terms of hopes for longevity. It’s good they are taking time with him to extend his career but maybe he’s just too fast for his ligaments and joints to hold up to the training, works and races he needs in order to run that blazing mile one longer they seem to want to target. At this rate, keeping him sound enough for an appearance in the B Cup sprint I’m questioning nevermind stretching out and shipping all over the country to do it all. I don’t question his ability, but I have my doubts… Hope I don’t read and article about him retiring to stud after an easy summer breeze in 59

@@jlove8445 Yeah it would be great to have him around, say at a mile. That division looks better than it has in a while, in my opinion anyway (sp corner, life/good, fulsome, amerrevolution, follow sea, cezanne, brickyard, shaaz possibly). And the stayers' division looks pretty good too. I'd rather see either of those things than the sprinting. But maybe at this point we should take what we get.

Are y'all serious. If Flight line is ready for the BC why waste a race in the Sprint. He obviously has no distance limitations. Who is going to catch him??? How could anyone say he is being pushed too hard. The great ones only run when they are 100 percent. If he was just a grade 3 type he would have 7 or 8 starts. The money he is going to bring in the breeding shed is not worth the slightest risk. He is not a Run Happy type.

You never know how a horse will ship and perform halfway around the world. Look at Life Is Good this year and Knicks Go last year. The Met Mile has become one of if not the most important races for breeding recently, they're right to point him there. Side note I also believe that as I'll be there for Belmont Stakes Day, and want nothing more then him vs LIG.

@@bobbymadera3234 Man o' War ran 21 times as a 2 & 3 year old, carried 130lbs multiple times as a 2yo, broke records by 6+ seconds, set world records while racing in steel shoes on deep dirt tracks, ran with as few as three days between races as a 2yo and was retired when the stewards told Riddle they'd weight the colt down with north of 150lbs if he raced at 4. Flightline is no Man o' War. Not even close.

Well they aren't able to run as often as they used to,+ there's a horse's headstone in Hamburg in Lexington Kentucky that win 67 stake races there's none of those around now and if you go back to when they started using drugs: butazolidin, Lasix, Etc you will see that the breed has lost its stamina and its immune system + go to one of these thoroughbred horse sales where they're selling million dollar horses and just see how many people pick up a horse's foot and look at it they breed bleeders to bleeders excetera and expect a horse NOT TO BLEED????? They think drugs will take care of the problem.....Angle Light for ex....

@@williambarker4050 a full 2 seconds off track record! That’s a long distance! Just because jock wasn’t whipping horse doesn’t mean horse wasn’t tired. Some horses run better without whip. The horse was tired and the whip I think wouldn’t have sped him up anymore. Horses win by 10 a lot of times in there young career. Ive seen track records actually get beat Next out or two and done. Never hear of horse again. Is he that good or are the horses he ran against that weak

While Taiba is a very talented horse, I’ll also say he’s not a very fluid mover in his stride. Wouldn’t shock me if he didn’t even make it to Kentucky, needing more time between races.
