I fly mine on 3s 2200 mah batteries and use the throttle very sparingly. 11 minute flights are the norm. The most beautiful thing of this plane: its landings!!!
I'm looking at your battery location and it's far farther than mine, mine where your is a nose heavy but move it back roughly 10mm balanced on the spot! so is your nose heavy when you flew it?
Nice flight review James, very interesting aircraft, seems like it wants to tip stall easy, does your club own the property where the trees are at each end of the runway? be nice to go in there with a dozier take a few out so you could extend your take off and landing approach, we had the same problem at our club here in Florida, tall trees at each end making it difficult to take off and land, we were leasing this property so we couldn't remove any trees, so we started shopping for a new flying site, we ended up purchasing an abandoned runway that is 3000 feet long and 75 feet wide and it is paved, it also came with a small hanger that wasn't into bad of shape, the club owns 250 feet on each side of the runway, we had a contractor come in and clear all the trees on each side of the runway back to 250 feet and any trees on the approach path, no we have plenty of room, no more climbing trees to retrieve an aircraft...
Wish we would, but we are in a state park, behind the trees to our right is a housing development and behind our trees to the left is a road. Got to make do, but we have great facilities here. Might be the largest club by members in GA
can anyone tell me the differences in a 3 blade prop compared to a 2 blade prop. Why do you get more performance like he says you do with a 2 blade prop? thanks
Two bladed are more efficient. you'll get longer flight times, in general, than with using a triple. They don't look scale, but in general they'll fly better. I wouldn't be surprise if you could fly this one for over 10 min on a two blade prop sized correctly for that motor.
One of my favorite foam warbirds... I've got close to 40 flights on mine and have yet to put a ding on her.. she's a doll... I'm swinging a 12x10E APC and running 70c 2600mah Thunder Power packs and she's a rocket... Great model and great flying!!!
Looks Amazing! Are the other warbirds like the spit or Focke Wolf A easier to fly than this, and would you think this difficult for someone with fairly limited flying experience. Wouldn't want to crash it!! If it is very difficult might get a bush plane from your website. Do let me know!! Thanks again
