Everyone misses Rick Moranis. He's a talented actor. When his wife died, he left acting to be a full-time father to his 2 kids. Family definitely comes first with him. Now that his kids are both grown up and on their own, he has considered returning to acting but his return has to be a big part that he really wants. He admits that he's very picky about his roles but has declared that he is NOT RETIRED from acting.
Well, if you still love Rick Moranis, you're in luck because he'll be coming out of retirement to play Wayne Szalinski in the upcoming Disney+ fillm, Shrunk.
It would be a fitting return to the big screen for Rick Moranis. Comedies suit him to the ground and if he decides to tempt himself away from his personal life and into showbiz again, we'd be satisfied. Comedy is more his niché. Any remake or sequel offered to him there is a slight chance he'd shake his head at the idea. I would personally love for the actor to star in a safari adventure. Jumanji would probably exhaust him to be honest but hey you never know. Or maybe, an obscure comic-book character but perhaps not like the style of 1960s Batman. We can hope he can come to a conclusion soon enough!
I wish they could do a sequel to the flintstones and bring back john goodman and rick moralas but I doubt that would happen Hollywood messes up sequles to good 90,s movies these days. It just sucks this movie was a classic I would like to see a sequel with them all back.
I remember when I was really little, it used to really upset me when Barney punched Fred, but now that I'm older and have a much better understanding of what's going on, it's one of the funniest scenes of the movie.
@@CraftyMarieArts that's one of the problems the movie had. The flintstones was a predominantly kids show. So stuff like this was very hard for young kids to understand. Critics like Roger Ebert made it clear in his review that adult subject matter would be hard for kids to get, especially since this was in 1994.
Of course. By saying that along with The rest of the conversation Fred made it quite clear he no longer considered Barney a friend or even an equal. Just a little person too dumb to get a decent job other than to serve him because he flunked the aptitude test.
+tripp cory It helps that the director has said that he's a big Flintstones fan, and it definitely shows. Like having small details like pterodactyls circling Fred's head instead of birds shows that he was passionate about this movie.
TV247 That's good. But shesh, not even the Nostaliga critic could find very much to rant about this (save for some pointless moments and the slightly cheasey sets). This was a good movie!
tripp cory Maybe when he watches Viva Rock Vegas he'll change his mind about the first one. I'm at least happy he enjoyed George of The Jungle though.
@sunnygurl09 That's true, Fred didn't listen because he insulted the Dickta Bird calling him a piece of office supply but, at least the Dickta Bird kind of taught him a lesson at the end that he (Fred) owed him an apology on how hurtful he treated him.
Yeah Fred was signing the documents under the impression that he was giving a vacation that he wanted for the employees. He took it for granted that they were vacation documents when really he was firing them Another thing that Fred didn’t catch on to not only did the dictabird tell him to read the documents before signing it. The documents he signing are pink slabs meaning pink slips so they are being fired
Fred: I lost my best friend the day I became an executive. He's just jealous of my hard earn Success. Barney: Hard earned ?. Tell me something, Mr Vice President. Whats a graduated inventory plan, huh ?, How bout Supply & Demand *Fred Struggles to reply* Hey Fred, Whats 2 and 2 ? Fred:*Blank face before saying* I didn't come here to talk business, Im out with my wife. Me: Arrogance. Sheer arrogance.
Holyshit i love this movie since birth. Very good, very hilarious adaption of one of my favorite cartoons. I love how john goodman says to rick moranis, now get me a clean spoon thats shit cracks me up.
Wow not a single person came here from Joker. Granted I seen this movie before I seen Joker, but when I saw Arthur do his bit, it made me think of this.
if Fred and Wilma were real friends they would've help Betty and Barney get another place by lending them the money at least until barney could get another job instead of showing off so much that was wrong.
And that was probably another reason Barney and Betty grew to resent Fred and Wilma. They knew they had more than enough money to help them out until Barney could find a steady job and get himself and Betty and Bamm-Bamm back on their feet but Fred and Wilma were so greed inflicted that they probably didn't even consider lifting a finger and lending a penny to help them. That would make me angry, especially if it was my best friend or somebody who is supposed to be there for me and help me in times of need.
They initially were helpful and good friends. Wilma paid the store to cover the crystal bam bam destroyed and they took the rubbles in but it wasn’t just them flaunting their wealth. Fred began to see Barney as a loser who couldn’t get a job because he flunked the test and Wilma started treating Betty more like a Maid then friend.
Yep exactly he took for granted that he was granting his employees vacation when really he was firing them back and another thing he didn’t catch on to that he was signing pink slabs meaning pink slips. So he was firing them
As well as that, Fred didn’t REALLY have the proper training, skills & knowledge to do Management work so he might very well not have even understood a lot of what the words & terminology in the document meant. Which can have DISASTROUS consequences if a person goes into a job like that without sufficient training & knowledge! I know Barney MEANT well by repaying him via switching tests so he cud get that big job but it would have been much better if he had done so in a different WAY too though.
I don't blame Barney when he calls Fred out considering that Fred's become a big selfish jerk at this point! Add to the fact that he knocks Fred out by punching him in the face makes this even more satisfying to watch!
In the Extended scene, Cliff Vandercave announces Fred's friends that Fred Flintstone fired Hoagie, Joe Rockhead and friends at the Quarry. CLIFF: Fred Flintstone fired you all and sold you guys out!
"The only reason you got that job, is cause I switched tests with you." in the same way i wanted to say that to superiors from my own past jobs. point my finger right at 'em and say "The only reason you GOT that position...is cause your friends with upper Management."
"Oh, ho, ho, ho! That's rich! What good would it do having to switch tests with the guy who got the lowest score in the quarry?!" "Think about it, Fred!" This whole thing was most likely a make-up to Fred giving Barney the money they needed to adopt Bamm-Bamm. But neither one of them knew how the results would turn out.
Q1. Whats a graduated inventory plan? Answer: Inventory planning is a process which an organisation adopts to determine the optimal quantity as well as timing with the sole aim of aligning such plans with the organisation's capacity to make & produce sales.
Personally, I don't have the white-hot hate for this movie that many have. John Goodman was perfect as Fred, and Rosie O'Donnell was decent (voice-wise) as Betty. But no, this ranks up there along with "The Money Pit" and "Batteries Not Included" as movies that it would have been wise for Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment not to have put their name on.
Hehe. I agree with that! This was my favorite scene of the movie. Who doesn’t love an over-the-top cartoony KO? Definitely don’t see it enough anymore. I think it would of been nice if a few stars and planets had been circling with the dactyls too hehe.
Probably would not have lasted long. He would have likely read some stuff he was signing and better realized the big money he just got was defalcated, so Cliff would have considered him a threat and have him terminated for something or other.
This movie was great, but the only thing I hated was Rosie O'Donnell. I can't stand her. I don't understand why they couldn't find someone much more better looking, thinner and more attractive. Cause that's how she was in the cartoon, just like Wilma. The rest of the cast was perfect.
@@rebajoe I initially thought the same but now I find rosie o'Donnell fine as Betty. You can't judge by the actor/actress' appearance. You Just accept the cast, the film for what it's like.
1:59 "I forgot to punch out" *Punches Fred 👨🤜👨* Arthur Fleck (From Joker 2019): " I forgot to punch out" *Arthur punches the clock 5 times then it fell* 🤡🤜🕛 x5
0:24 Barney Rubble : You mean, a permanent vacation! [turns to Wilma and Betty, points to him] Barney Rubble : He fired them! [Betty gasps] 1:07 Barney Rubble : [slams the tablecloth] That does it! The only reason you got that job is 'cause I switched tests with you. 1:57 Barney Rubble : Hang on, Betty. I forgot to punch out. [punches Fred in the face; he faints]
Barney was repaying fred for helping him and betty adopte bam bam and fred and wilma became rich snobs and rubbed having money in there face so this was gonna happen and boy did it!
I was not pleased when Betty (Rosie O'Donnell) called Wilma (Elizabeth Perkins) a "rich snob" and the other scene is where Barney (Rick Moranis) punched Fred (John Goodman) in the face after he left the restaurant. It didn't actually happen in the cartoon series.
