In this video, I meet up with Kyle from @PopMilk to hunt snakes in eastern Texas! While it wasn't the most productive day, we ended up scrounging up some neat finds. My favorite was the buttermilk racer! Subscribe for more like this!
They have such amazing patterns and colors. They were a snake I really wanted to see in ETX. That being said they very quickly remind you that they are Nerodia
Love your vids. You’re a good lad for helping your buddies get their fix after a long day! If you ever come to Salt Lake City I’d love to meet you and tag along for a herp sesh 🙏🏼
Neat finds love snake hunting in E. Texas/Louisiana! Bonus Louisiana has some of the best and most underrated food on the planet! Plus, incredible herping with Farancia in the mix.
No buttermilks in South Texas, but depending on the region there are yellow-bellied racers, Mexican racers, coachwhips, and Schott’s whipsnakes (arguably more beautiful than any racer).
Buttermilk?? I assume related to racers, but I never heard of these guys........restricted to east Texas, Will?? The only time I heard of buttermilk was from my dad who used to drink it on a dairy farm near St. Louis where he grew up..........I guess it's an acquired taste! This big guy was perfectly chill though!! Jim C.
