As voted by my patrons, I've arranged a classic tune from Super Paper Mario: Flipside, the interdimensional hub city in the game! It has a charming accordion part that I just had to cover live, and just plenty of details that were really fun to reconstruct and play with. And of course, Flipside isn't the only side of the story, so stay tuned for the latter half of this arrangement!

i used to be an active member on a super paper mario message board themed after the one-off joke website name francis makes mention of in chapter 3, and i got there because i liked this game so much when i played it on launch. listening to this brought me back to that time in my life, 15 years ago at this point. beautiful arrangement, scruffy.

Excellent arrangement The soft clarinets and accordion really add to the " cleanliness" of Flipside and the funky bass adds to the "dirtiness" of Flopside Well done

@@cowboyluigi5275 youd be surprised most of the music on the disk is half quality technically, the songs are stored in 44.1khz, which is standard hq, but theyre 2x the speed they should be, which means that when theyre played back in game, that quality gets cut in half why did they do that? idk a few of the game's tracks (the mr L tracks to be precise) have been released in actual hq in the year of luigi sound collection, and the difference is definitely palpable

This is one of those rare remixes that I think are better than the original. It just feels like an upgrade while remaining 100% true to the same aesthetic and integrity as the original piece. It's not going for a completely different style...yet the additions only make it feel more alive. It also helps you brought the sound quality itself up. The Flopside remix was just brilliant too. So quirky and bouncy. Love it!! Keep it up good sir.

Ah, hearing this brings back a lot of memories. The inclusion of Flopside and the subtle detail of the clock ticking from Memory at the end makes it clear a lot of care was put into this. Great arrangement as always, Scruffy!

I remember when I was a kid and I would get so excited when I unlocked Peach, Bowser, and finally Luigi. I got the game for my birthday and didn’t know a thing about it. After struggling through that blasted mansion with Mimi ,gripping through the two 100 level dungeons to get the speed pixl and infinite 3D power, and piling up 9999 coins to get your partner back as a robot. I really miss this game. Thanks for making this!

SPM is a fantastic game and my personal favorite in the PM series. I think it doesn't get as much love as the other PM games because it breaks the formula in a lot of ways, but it's still a rockstar game in every other respect.

THIS SONG IS SO GOOD. I did not expect a Super Paper Mario arrangement, of all Mario games to do, but I'm not complaining. This game is legendary and underrated. Your mixture of live instruments and the iconic synth sounds from the game are PERFECT. Bravo.

I noticed that in the Flopside section, the title in the video actually changes to Flopside, good detail. And, those ticking clock hands at the end... I love them. They are really characteristic of this game, I hope more games use them in their soundtracks. Also, well done not putting your "outro bongos" at the end here. They really bring up the atmosphere after the clock ticks.

This is one of those games that reminds me of how fun a Mario game can be. The idea was completely new, as opposed to doing another paper Mario RPG. I also remember the satire in this game is fantastic. The game knows when to be funny and serious. Great game. I might be biased because it’s the first game I ever played, but replaying it again recently, I can’t help but be happy.

This is like actually my favorite game ever. It's the first Paper Mario game I ever played, and the first game I played that had a lot of story and lore. For the longest time me and brothers got stuck on 4-3 cause we couldn't find the store where they sell the chocolate bars for Squirp. I've played this game so many times, and yet I still never 100% completed it. I wanna do it but currently don't have my copy of the game atm

GOD, this brings back a lot of memories from when I was little! My brother and I have spent hours playing this game, and although we still haven't beaten the game, we're amazingly close to finishing it. This song in general means a lot to me, I remember as a young kid I could never get past chapter 3 for whatever reason, so I would spend most of my time with this game just sitting in the hub world and just acting out scenarios as Mario/Peach/Bowser, which meant hearing this song a lot, haha. I was always hoping someone would make a cover of it someday that captured how the original felt and. Yeah this absolutely does, good job

Yooooooooo sick! Nobody likes SPM just because it's the most different of them. But it's got a fantastic soundtrack and flipside is one of those top tier tracks. It reminds me of elevator music, which I'm pretty sure is intentional as Flipside and Flopside are transitionary spaces. Being between dimensions. I think The Tilepool would be a great track to make an arrangement of.

Despite color splash’s better improvements (the music), it still fails to make the gameplay better as it seems to be a direct sticker star sequel. The fans said NO, but Nintendo ignored. Super Paper Mario is great! Also Origami king is good enough.

I've never been one to comment on RU-vid videos, but this arrangement really did compel me to do such. When flopside began to play, I began to cry for the first time in years. Even if it wasn't a heavy amount of tears- I thought to myself I'd never be able to cry again for the longest time. But, you proved me wrong Scruffy. Everything here with this arrangement is almost overwhelmingly beautiful, extravagant even to my ears. It's been years since I've even thought about this game, even longer since my last time playing it. I cannot truly express my gratitude with words, as the emotions I felt were entirely genuine, unpredictable, and simply indescribable. Memory was beautiful, as well. Thank you Scruffy, really. I hope you're doing well.

So fantastic. Just impeccable music. The little reference to Memory is the icing on the cake, and an already delicious cake at that. Memory was my favorite tune in the game, it'd bring me to tears as a kid, not sure why. So even just doing such a service to that lovely track is enough for me. Really outdid yourself in so many ways, and made me appreciate Flipside that much more. Thank you.

Super Paper Mario is one of my all time favorite games, (it's hard to guess that, I know), with equally one of my favorite OST's in any video game. It's one of Nintendo's most unique and best soundtracks they've ever made, thank you for adding your own flair to one of my favorite songs! Flipside just makes me happy and relaxed. :)
